Treasure Clue, can you help?

When Checking previous posts someone said something about the blight. Im from spud country and blight is a disease that spreads thru the potato fields. If your a potato farmer its bad news if its not controlled.

Littlecasino, that was me . i was thinking of the dust the blight spreader spread. it just made me think of polution.

Yes bad news anyhow. Have you checked out the vines and leaves in the drop caps. I herd the new clue was posted. Any good news?

on pg24 tree in the top center darker area I see letters 'NOT'

on pg57 I interpreted it as 'PER', and there could also be a letter in front of it. Also, in the dark area under the tree there are about 15-20 different letters and numbers all over the place. I've seen this in other drawings but I haven't made any headway if they are all related or just chicken scratch to confuse people.

Hello All and good evening. Just thought i would let everyone know who doesnt already that the new clue is up on the ATT site.

Littlecasino, i have a copy of an old post where somene went through and copied them all down i'll post tomorrow. it's of all the darkened lines and vines.

Grimey, thanks for the per. i looked at that picture for so long i couldn't take another minute. i heard of the other numbers and letters but haven't looked into it . maybe we should string all the letters from the trees . we have a not and a per so far. thanks for the reply.

Hi all,
I have found that the word fairies is spelled differently as faeries on ye nomenclature of faeries...But, has anyone come across the same spelling (faeries) anywhere else in the book? I'm not working on the "misspelling", but with the actual word faeries. Thanks!

And, on page 66...for the poem part "with name in hand the fairies know", can you please tell me if the word appears as FAIRieS or as FAiRieS (trying to determine if the 1st i is capitalized). I appreciate any input!

Since the new clue up at the ATT site is probably a Rubik's cube type puzze, I thought I would share this information. The center color of each side is the face color of that side...so if you have a blue center cube, then that is the blue side (easy enough). Now, on the original Rubik's cubes this is how the cube was set up...the blue center was always opposite green; red was opposite orange; and, yellow was opposite white. So, if you have the blue on top--red would be on the left side and yellow would be on the right.

The cubes that are sold today are usually different. The blue is opposite white; green is opposite yellow; and, red is opposite orange. (Notice green and white have switched places).

In looking at the puzzles on the website, I do believe that MS is using 'ye olde style' of Rubik's cube. Hope that helps!

Noxoc, i looked at the puzzle last night and as far as i got before nodding off. i separated all the letters by color and i did the blue color 1st because of the #1. unscrambled i got NOT APRIL 1. i'm going to look at it today on lunch, but you'll all have it solved before i get home tonight .

Here it is; a rubics cube.

Solution:
There are no intentional red herrings. Posted in March, Not April 1.

Is it just me or is everyone terrible disappointed in this clue? Now, just how does that really help us? I hope you guys come up with lots of different ideas. I am leaving tomorrow for a week of spring break with my family and I intend to take my book, but probably won't have internet access. I am looking forward to reading all of your thoughts when I return! Bonnie

It does not help us solve the puzzels anymore than the last clue about the 13th jewel. However, I think it was meant to encourage--not discourage--people. Many people have called MS sneaky and said he planted some dead ends to throw us off. This one assured it that it was not his intention to do so.

Can you explain how to solve the clue? Is it just a big anagram, or is there more required? Thanks for posting it. :-*

Does anyone have any idea why A's are so strange looking? When I saved the picture from the official site, it saved as 313. Not sure why or what it might mean?

LitDoc - the puzzle is just a big anagram, but I would bet that MS started with a Rubik's cube, pasted the letters on in such a way that it spelled out the message in a logical fashion, and then mixed it all up and showed us the resulting six sides.

Gaines. Sorry "kudos" to you for solving the clue

Kudos to everyone for sticking with this thing :)

Ok my first post didnt come through...Awesome job Gaines....
But I had a thought the first clue had 2 solutions...Crystal Pook is thirteen and start cipher key in tools. Is it a possibility that there are 2 different solutions...I have been working on some of the colors and orange anagrams to "RARE TREES"
If there were 2 solutions for the first puzzle....I would tend to believe that there are 2 for this one.

tryng to teach and solve at the same time!....NOT EASY! ;D
