Treasure Clue, can you help?

i'll be dead in my grave before i recongnize missoura! just a fun quote from my fav show.

I was thinking the exact same thing with placing the US map over Yorah. It all makes since 2 me exept for the WA and OR border. Some of my friends say I am wrong and i should try to turn the map the other way.

cegodsey ~ I was wondering if you were willing to do what you did with the first yorah/map but if you just turned it the other way. When you are done mabey you could e-mail it to me or just post it so the world can see. How did you do that by the way? I just traced a US map on tracing paper and put it over the pic but that was kinda hard to interperet. The computer thing is much more effictive.

Thanks!

scan the yorah picture in, then using a photoshopping tool, layer on top of it the map and reduce the density on the map so it starts to turn see through.

Freerider has it going on! Did it like he said. I tried flipping it horizontally and/or vertically, but I ended up with a state that's out of place. The bumps that we have to work with are Texas, Maine, and Florida. I can't see it any other way. Can you upload an example?

Also, here is the drop cap T - shrinked so that you can almost make out some letters (imagination?). I think I see a P and a backwards R. Almost like "April..."

The other pictures are the WV I found in a leaf, and is the fairy pointing to a slice of chocolate pie?

Lucidious , Sorry to here you didn't find a token , but glad to here yuor hunt inspired you to keep digging . Sounds like you had a blast anyway . After seeing the picture i can see why you are searching this area . Good luck on finishing the clues you need to get that token.

CEGODSEY: Great work! I'd love to see what you find for California, since I am there. Thanks for sharing all the other stuff.

Peggy

Luci, fab picture of the sign. Can't wait to hear more (when your token is in hand)!

When I was at MS book signing last week the lady sitting next to me told me that in the picture on page 80 of Rusful he has a pouch hanging off his shoulder. If you use a magnifying glass it looks like the word California right at the bottom of the pouch. My daughter thinks it kind of looks like it. What do you all think. Would like to know. Thanks

Ronimay , Welcome ! I'll check it out and let you know . Did MS have anyting interesting to say ?

"LOOK UP" is on kootenstoopit's top. The seam from the neckline, then right at the button is an "L". The "O" and "O" are at the neckline to the right. The "K" is backwards. Then there is an arrow pointing up. There are letters on the other shoulder too.

Pg. 57 - Could the letters in the leaves be "R.I.P."? If you turn the book sideways it looks like an old man with a beard. That reminds me of RIP VAN WINKLE by Washingotn Irving - about a man falling asleep under a tree and he wakes up 20 years later with a long beard (or something like that). Anyway, he also wrote The Legend of Sleep Hollow. Would a hollow be considered a trees hole? Maybe someone should check out Sunnyside - Washington Irving's home in Tarrytown, New York

Pg. 88 - Someone said the illustration was Iowa. But it can't be because IA is the abbreviation for iowa, not IO. I think it is Ohio. "O" is the vine. "H" is the I on its side. "I" is the I. "O" is the vine. Both letters "O" and "I" are used twice.

Has anybody said anything about the hash marks on the leaf on pg. 19? It's either 3-2-2 or 7 (3+2+2).

While on the subject of strange pictures found in the illustrations, here is your rootbeer and the tap from which it was poured (pg 83):

RUSTY2 , Great eye i saw all , but pg 88 . I'm seeming to miss it out of my book so will try and find it tonight and look . Thanks for the posts i was excited to see something new that i hadn't seen before after staring at those pictures so mannnnnnnnyyyyyy times . I've also thougth the tree laying down was a hint a rip van winkle , but am not close enough to check it out or i would .

Cegodsy , great job . i was reading the new subject page you put up about HOW he hid the tokens . Now my thoughts are that all these little illustrations he's slipped into the pictures are not there for fun . I think these are all subtle hints as to what is in the area of the location or who knows at the location . Don't know if anyone knows about A&W'S , but that's what i thought of when i saw the picture . Now open your mind a little and think that these pictures are maps and maybe this is referring to a rootbeer joint such as A&W and this is just a spot or reference to the location . Hope that made sense . Keep looking for those strange oddball things . I know we've all seen them in the pictures . Maybe a subject page for those would work.

out of curiousity i googled A and W along with rootbeer and then just beer. With the nation wide it came up with a ton of "statewide rootbeer and beer gatherings" and a holelotta other NJ stuff about them. if you look to the right of pg. 83 i see a outline of NJ faintly outlined like the rootbeer mug and everything.....any1 w/ me? i see a bottle also at the bottom af the pg.
