Treasure Clue, can you help?

Sara - I don't see NJ.? I see an N, but not the J.? If I turn it upside-down...wheeeee!? My pages just fell out of the book!? Nope.? Don't see the bottle either.

Rusty - I See the RIP and the dead tree.? That's all of yours that I see.

ronimay - I don't see california.

Maybe if I turn this light on....? Nah!? It's only fun in the dark.

Lucid - I'd love to see the other pics.? The pub sign seems more than just coincidental.?

On another note, I tried converting the circle shapes on pg 66 to numbers, as in binary, to see what they would convert to in ASCII.? For the first try, I assumed that the small circles were "00" , the big circles were "01" , the circles with the small dots were "10" and the circles with the big dots were "11".? Garbage.? SO, then I looked at it such that there were 5 different circles - small, medium, and large empty circles, then the circles with the small and large dots.? I tried numbering them 0-4, then 1-5 (which gave better results), but still garbage. I also tried the empty circles as "0" and the circle-dots as "1".? Still nothing.? Oh, I read the circles both clockwise and counterclockwise.? The thing about the circles is that they have only five varieties, and they seem to be too repititious.? For instance, reading clockwise with the circles numbered 1-5 as above, I got 22 14 24 24 44 34 14 22 22 25 43 22 21 34 34 14, which translated to some odd characters, a couple of quotes, two dollar signs, a percent, a couple of "4"s, etc.? Reading counterclockwise, I got BBA""4R"C(DC2)AC"ACD.? The DC2 is also known as an arrow pointing up and down.

SOOO.. I'm back to being stumped.

Sara, the A&W 's are hamburger and rootbeer joints around here . very few of them left. Thanks for looking it up. I think it's on the right track at least it was a sign for lucidious. I have a strong feeling that these little inserts into the pictures are for a reason. I can't help but think they all have a purpose and until we get closer to a location they won't make any sense.

Cegodsey,
I have been viewing that the same way. This appears to be a code of numbers 1-5. I feel they are X and Y coordinates to a 5x5 box that is filled with letters A to Z minus the Q. The problem is how do you fill the box with letters and in what order do you read the circles.

Hmmm... that's what woke me up last night... 5 numbers.? Problem was that after I looked at the page, I no longer saw the 5 numbers.? Thanks for clearing my mind.?

OK, there is only one circle that has a large dot.? Not counting the occasional circle in the stems.? What do you make of that one?? Another thought is - are there any possible letters that you can assign to the 5 circles to spell out words?

Meaning, are there any words that use the same four (+1) letters in these patterns:

22142424
44341422
22254322
2134
3414

Hmm.? After looking at this, I kinda doubt it.? For a word to start with the same two letters as it ended with - not likely.? I can't see how all those twos could fit into a word.? Ooh - snail has five letters, and this is the snail page.? ENOUGH!? I have to go clean test tubes...

PS - Lucid, how do you pronounce Lucidious?? Lucid - E - US?? Lucid - JEW - US (like decidious)?? Some other way?

That just really kicks butt. And you say it is the least obvious? When are you going back?

SARA , What part of pg 83 did you see N J ? Was it to the right of the beer or on the right side bottom or top? I see an N and what looks like a J below the N on the bottom right just abovw the tree root.

Cegodsey , maybe squish pg 83 like you did the others? Also did you find the mug and tap by following the eyes on the darklings around the inset picture ? Because the one at the bottom looks thirsty and is looking right at it . Do you see what the one at the top right with his nose hanging over the inset picture is pointing at ?

Luci,

The picture of that pub sign was tremendous! Please hurry up and find the token so you can reveal more.

Pickensrooters anagrams to "it's Pons creek OR"

There is a Pons dam in Oregon that I know of. Could just be another crazy co-incidence but you never know.

KYMOM , The only problem is that CT at first was not allowed to do the hunt , but i think the idea is on the right track and wouldn't be surprised to see that he hid locations just this way.

Here's a few things i found in the picture of rusful grotto. The finger pointin' is my finds and the others, poodle and duck , are from someone else . Let me know .

look at the small bucket in the upper right hand corner. does the handle make a U? Or maybe a C, or G.

I was just wondering if anyone has seen the snail on page 77? And wonder if it means anything? I also dont understand what the 5x5 box is, could someone please explain that to me? Thank You.

Jbot , on the smaller pot it looks to me like another arrow pointing to the left . Look at the rock to the right of the small pot were talking about , there is a three on it . Let me know if you can see it . I've followed those arrows and fingers pointin' till i can't look at it much more . I've followed it with a ruler and everything , but can't get it just yet . I can see the finger that's pointing to the left , now follow it to rusfuls leg, the broken glass . Does it look like it's being dropped ? To me it looks like it's being dropped instead of already laying there . Let me know as this is making me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Caseys40 , welcome to the group ! I do see the snail and actually there are 2 . I'm trying to figure the critters out , but haven't had luck yet. I honestly don't understand the whole box thing , but i think the general idea everyone has is the V-cipher without the letter Q . Hope this helps , maybe someone else can explain it better who understands it better .
