If anybody ever pulls a Laffy or Hawaiian out of a half dollar roll, I'll crap myself. A complete set of classic commems from boxes/rolls would be nuts, lol.

Crazy thing is it might have been feasible as late as the early '50's.

The full set is...not likely to say the least. Their are about 10 pilgrim coins for the set - the Oregon trail series is huge too.

one of each type is a definite maybe!

I'm not sure it was ever feasible to pull a Lafayette dollar out of a half dollar roll. I agree on the premise that a set of classic commems from circulation would be very cool.

I think modren cald commems are more likly to compelte.

I want the Matte proof half from a roll.

I want a laffy from a ike roll - a solid laffy roll, none of this 2 or 3 per/roll crap.

OK - here are a few photos of the Pilgrim, Stone Mountain and a few other interesting coins including some Capped Bust Halves. The holed one I got CRH from a teller. My camera is down so these are from my computer's camera...pretty poor but you will see how I store coins. I have a couple 3 ring binders that I keep the ones that I care to look at and enjoy - the rest are cashed out or in the SDB.

WOW! Quite a collection there Maine Jim!!! My hats off to you! I'm just starting and loving it!

Maine_Jim,
Great score with that Pilgrim commemorative Half. They are valuable!
Just goes to show you...."that it's still out there!"
Congrats to you. I'm glad to see one of the old timers find a "winner"!

Just wow

Lets hear it for the persistent ones. Crh fortunes are not built on one or two boxes. More like one or two million dollars searched

Nice collection. The only bad thing in it is the Obama half.:laughing7:

Very, very nice. I'd kill to find a CBH.

Nice find on the Pilgrim MaineJim. Who knows what can turn up in a box at any time. Thanks for showing it and the pics of your collection. MM2
