I found what looks like it could have been an axe head or celt about a week ago near the Catawba River in North Carolina. I am pretty new to this and have no idea what I'm talking about lol. Any suggestions/advice? thanks, sosa961

I found this in an old native american ruin that's near an old mining camp in las cruces. i was wondering what it is. i think its made of slate or some other type of stone and it has at least four holes that were drilled in to it but none are complete im not sure if it was made to be this way...
