The only good reason not to dig is if your arms and fingers might be too stiff and sore. If you've dug a lot you will know this is like massive arthritis and you sit around with your hands in a half clenched position. Also your arms and shoulders may feel like the circulation is off and they are tingly because of inflammation.
My fingers are still in recovery and will mess with my golf game, along with acquired golfers elbow now. Should be good when it cools off this fall. Man, I doubled up on the pain taking up golf again last august... don't hit off mats a lot, it makes the arthritis type feeling worse. Back down to a 5 handicap now though, and broke par twice for first time ever.
I drive by a cache spot every time I go to the golf club course I joined at, Can't get away from treasure sites.. Was hoping a fellow golfer owned it that I could golf with and talk to (always looking and planning), but haven't seen his name out there yet. Life will throw me a big bone if I keep at it.
A kindred soul, it seems. Man, you've got my hands it seems! I don't play golf, but I'm thankful I can still chop firewood if I'm careful.
Honestly, you guys are kinda telling. Never plunged into golf, like it, but I do play a solid rhythym guitar. That is not so strenuous, still it's joint, muscle, & tendon pressure & movement that has to be fast & precise. Like I told Johnny Van Zant, Rickey Medlocke etc.
Man, organic vitamins, * Natrol Juice Festiv, Certified Organic fruit & veggie daily supplements. With "Phytonutrients from 23 Fruits + 18 Vegetables + 5 Grains & Greens + Antioxidants, Vitamins + Probiotics, & Digestive Enzymes... out of Oregon & CA.
Then, there's the Essential Minerals - Concentrace Trace Minerals, extracted & refined, most sodium removed out of The Great Salt Lake & dist. - Roy, Nevada, will also give you what I call "the basics" . Because you can do even much better than that,
with all that's been tested & realized. I know it's not any new info, but how many check into it? These will Definitely help tremendously with so many things, like what you guys are touching on. I also do the 3-6-9 Omegas, like Safflower Oil, Sam's has
a Member's Mark Brand supposed to be all natural, Omega 3-6-9 version with some Evening Primrose, Fish Oil, Borage Oil, Safflower Oil, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, + Soy Lecithin, which has the awesome Biotin, Choline, & Inositol, (found in clinical
studies to be not only very beneficial to the entire cardiovascular system, also good for brain function & other critical factors. I also do 7 forms of Magnesium, & Zinc, & Calcium, & D3 & K2, & other herbs for blood flow & heart health, & a
little Echinacea for immune support. There's so much more. Turmeric for inflammation, hard to take & absorb, but the folks in India produce & consume the most of it, they (Nutritionists or Scientists) say it works to ease the inflammation.
But there's so much, even in herbal teas for example, that we can do to help ourselves, especially with experience (age), if we'll just take the time & money to, that helps & counters so much of our American food choices, that are not
giving us these, some of the best Natural Oils & Organic vitamins & minerals, things we really desperately need to help take care of so many changes that we experience in our bodies, whether we realize it, totally understand or not...
The best reason to dig, is because something appears to be there, it tests positive, & because you still can... I had major back surgery (3 vertebrae fusion) in 2010. My sister said, you need all things green to help with the healing.
Though it's true I don't last as long as I used to, I Still Dig It, yes, thankfull I can do as much as I can, & like all of us, would really like to be able to keep doing it all with minimal aches & pains, for as long a time as possible...
