Hello folks, many of us have very creative usernames. I thought since I was not doing nothing right now, it would be nice to see why some people chose their usernames on here.

I'll start off.

Many people think that I am from Buffalo, NY. I am not from Buffalo, NY.

I chose this username because when I was a young boy, probrably 5 or 6, my grandfather gave me a few coins, and in them, some dateless buffalo nickels. I thought that the buffalo nickel was the most interesting coin, and I started collecting them.

Needless to say, buffalo nickels with no date are only worth face value, maybe add a penny or two.

The buffalo nickel still remains my favorite coin to collect, plus, who knows what goodies you can find in nickel boxes...

Alright you caught me!!!

I actually did read the entire thread... many many people I dont recognize... I guess thats how this type of forum goes... people get skunked out, or just move on...

I would assume, your average joe person would not get my name, Comes from the Alex Jones radio show, who runs a website infowars.com, just me trying to get the word out there to try and help people wake the hell up... who knows if it does any good? Most people only care about sports and cable TV, and nothing about any type of real world stuff, like how were all(ok well 99% of us) slaves to debt(money). Im sure you think im crazy just by reading that statement alone... but let me ask you this. Is that what you really think? or what you have been programmed to think over your entire life... TV conforming your every thought and reaction to something outside of the norm. just youtube "the american dream film" if you want to know about money. its about half hour long, with over 2 million views between the 2 most popular uploads

My avatar is Ron paul who I have read his books and can agree with most of what he says, especially on the financial aspect, he really knows what he is talking about...I believe this particular picture is when he was showing the silver coin to FED chairman bernanke, asking him if he thought it was considered money, when bernanke said no

I came to Tnet beacuse of wanting to escape the federal reserve note system, moving to gold and silver... Or atleast protecting myself with it... I started with the metal detecting parts of Tnet, but then started clicking on the "new posts" button on the left side of the website, and would browse all of the topics being talked about on TNET, not just the metal detecting parts, but dredging, cache hunting, coin roll hunting... (This is how I found CRHing... TNET needs to ban that new post button, to keep others from finding us!!!)

Started to see posts of people pulling in 10-20 oz of silver a week!!! Insane I thought, I could never find that much metal detecting!! lol

I remember seeing Tims posts of 50 boxes a week, and thinking, wow that must be nuts to even do half that amount! So much work put into all of that... and here I am 4-5 months later, and this week posting up my 24 box finds(most i have done so far), and right above my post, is Timzim with his 48 box total... surreal for sure!

Pz out

My username is my car-- a 1988 Mazda 323 GTX. Its a two-door hatchback, turbocharged, 4-wheel drive, and weighs only 2700 lbs. Gets about 31 mpg highway while blasting through snow that hangs-up behemoth SUVS. Best rally / CRHing car money can buy! :laughing7:

My nickname in high-school was Mammoth, because of my big.. hands! Seriously, I have large hands. Anyways, the 29 is the day of my birthday. Avatar is me hunting at the famed Paunsaguant hunting unit in Southern Utah a couple of years back. Took my dad and my brothers, and we had one heck of a time!

My username is is reflective of how I've made living the last few years as a gambler, and the avatar is a tribute to my son, who was killed last year doing what he loved, ridding bucking horses

Sorry for your loss, I just came back from the hospital
where my dad is, His body is shutting down, He's 80
And he's leaving me............Fair sea's and a following
wind Dad, Love you

One of my minors in college was Japanese so I tend to use Japanese words for usernames. Giniro is the color silver, gin=silver, iro=color, so this gives the feeling for me as I'm searching for silver I'll be seeing a lot of the color silver but not necessarily much actual silver. The way things have been going lately I feel maybe I should have chosen ginnashi(without silver, there is no silver).

I suppose I am a little late on this one, but since I metal detect all the time, I chose the Military Detector man, which I found detecting and the seated quater, which I also found. I thought they would make a Great Avatar. I even use it on my facebook page, LOL. Thanks for the great post.

The caulfield part is from the catcher in the rye and the dr is because I am a anesthesiologist.

Skeeterd is a name I've had forever. My avatar is a pic of where I work live and play. Great country, a long way from town.

I've always been fond of the mercury dime. I think it's one of the most attractive coins out there. Haven't bothered with an avatar yet but if I find a nice, pretty AU merc ill probably use that. HH

my user name is my middle name and last name, Arno Farrell. Pretty cut and dry. My avatar is me holding a chick from last spring in my living room.

I keep my silver in my keep.
This is my face, after my grave mistake.
Ultima Online was as good an MMORPG, as Popcorn was a moonshiner, or so I'm told. I can only imagine how that dew tastes now.

Coilygirl because obviously you use your coil to detect with and because I have curls on my head.My avatar is me.

Lol you played UO too? :)

I played that game for way too long, starting way back in 95

I chose mine because I collect firearms and shoot. I love the idea of America and I will uphold the constitution and our rights, or go down guns blazing.

Thorne is my alias. I get more mail for Mr. Thorne then I get for my real name. Avatar is a coin with a miner on it. Liked the look and crh is kind of like modern day mining.

Well Zero is not because I have been skunked multiple times. It's just a nickname I have with the guys around the office. My avatar is Sir Issac Newton created out of the 1000 digits of pi. I'm a math professor.
