Explain your USERNAME and AVATAR on this thread...

Hello folks, many of us have very creative usernames. I thought since I was not doing nothing right now, it would be nice to see why some people chose their usernames on here.

I'll start off.

Many people think that I am from Buffalo, NY. I am not from Buffalo, NY.

I chose this username because when I was a young boy, probrably 5 or 6, my grandfather gave me a few coins, and in them, some dateless buffalo nickels. I thought that the buffalo nickel was the most interesting coin, and I started collecting them.

Needless to say, buffalo nickels with no date are only worth face value, maybe add a penny or two.

The buffalo nickel still remains my favorite coin to collect, plus, who knows what goodies you can find in nickel boxes...

There is no great story behind my username. I originally used it for a fantasy football team years ago. I like 80s movies and I am a fan of the movie "Oceans Eleven", so I added Billy (as in Billy Ocean, of "Caribbean Queen" and "Get Out of My Dreams" fame) to the movie title to come up with BillyOceansEleven.

Mojo is my nickname and finding silver coins is my game.

CRH'g is kinda magical at times so coinmojo just sorta came to me because for a while there I seemed to have that magic touch.

The Mojo in my avitar is a sign hanging above the door of a resturaunt in Grand Rapids Michigan.

Neat thread. About 5+ years ago I had just arrived in Germany, thanks to Uncle Sam, and I felt really out of place while I was there and this is what I came up with. Unlike alot of folks on here I've never had a real nickname. My avatar is just me and a little green friend.

Mine is a play on words mostly. I hunt for both Gold and Silver and have found both sometimes they come together in the most beautiful contrast Golden Silver. There were other thoughts behind the name as well. Silver is the poor mans gold and Some of you may remember the Voice of Mr. Ives as a snowman singing Silver and Gold in the old rudolph movie. This all helped me with my name. The coin in my Avatar is the oldest coin I ever found metal detecting and probably the most interesting coin as well. It is a 1640 Lion Dollar that I have been told was most likely used in the fur trade here in the New world. That is it and that is all.
