Here are Google Earth images showing a line running from Four Peaks down to Weavers Needle. The line crosses over Fish Creek Canyon near the Salt River.

Not to rain on this parade but in every account I’ve ever read about the Dutchman …his eye sight was not good…so wouldn’t every park… or any peak look like one…way way off in the distance?

I never read anywhere that his vision was poor or that he wore glasses or anything to that effect.

I'd figure he chose a shotgun, for the simple fact that, at close range, you wouldn't worry about missing. I too have not heard about anything referencing Waltz (The Dutchman) having an eyesight handicap.

Same effect if you could not see well either…don’t have to worry about missing….also his shotgun was used in the killing on his property in phoenix

Where exactly did you hear that Waltz had an eye impairment? I've read quite a bit about Jacob and never have I heard of this particular impairment. It's an interesting thought though...

Why don’t you go see for yourself, what the view is all about, and then see if you think he wasn’t seeing very good 😊

It is like you are looking for some reason to dismiss things. Lots of folk do it, and don’t realize it. They want someone to give them undeniable proof I guess 🤓
It’s about 6 miles from the 1st water trailhead.
Take the ridge that contains Bull Pass, and just follow it north. Where the ridge stops going north, you have reached your destination.

Be careful following that part of the ridge, the safer path is to approach FROM the north, not the south.
Do like Holmes manuscript says, and go through the saddle up onto the the ridge.
The high point is right at the corner/intersection of 2 ridges.

A best fit line, hiding the other three behind Brown does not see to go where you say. More to the East. Like the JP area ( or YP area , or somesuch I do not recall at the moment)

Waltz’s shotgun was taken by a visitor who then used it to commit a murder. I couldn’t find any source that says Waltz ever got the shotgun back.

H.C. was the one who had the book published, and it was she who chose to put "Bible" on the title, so it was up to her to verify everything she was claiming to be true. Her sources just shared with her what they were given.
It took a long time for someone to find a fault, and Bob over reacted, sending the message, "kill the messenger". Too many Dutch hunters blinded by Bob's reaction, and eager to get on his side, still can't see what happened.
