Gold heading for $5,000 ?

FOMO is definitely controlling the price of gold and silver right now. Just sold a few one ounce silver bars for $55 each to a pawn shop! I was expecting maybe $45 a bar. I really don't want to sell all the silver Rosies, Washingtons and Mercs I've found metal detecting, but 42x face is SO tempting! I also have around 50 Sterling silver rings, but it's hard to determine their value. Some are in very nice shape, while other are bent or missing stones. I doubt if any have real diamonds, but you never know.

I don’t think the American public is involved in the metals yet.
When they do get involved, then it’s time to sit back and enjoy the show!

Tim... its a "little" deeper than FOMO... heh

Silver has been in a deficit for the last 5 years.
It has been added to government strategic / critical minerals lists worldwide.

You sold too soon.
I am not a financial advisor ... but if I were you i would not sell ANY silver yet.

PS... btw... You could have gotten more money for those bars elsewhere.

Silver is down $1.37 today. I think I did just fine. Buy and hold is not a good strategy with commodities. People stacking gold and silver will be kicking themselves when the prices tank.

The old saying of...
"you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make it drink"
applies here.

We'll have to agree to disagree on this one. No need to be belligerent about it.

Sorry, I guess condescending would be a better way to describe your comments toward me. But that's okay, you may well be right. We'll have to see what develops over the next few months.

The main thing is what a person is happy with in the end.
Sell, and you hold the $$$ in hand.
Hold onto the silver and wait for the ultimate time to sell.
We might be lucky and hit the high, or we might get it on the slide.

The person that has held previous to one year ago has seen 87.2049% increase on their silver holdings.
The person that has sold during this cycle has gained X amount of % but not to the potential of what it could of been.
The general consensus out in the world is that silver is under valued and the ratio between silver/gold is still high.
The ratio in May of this year was 99/1 today it's 72/1
There's still lots of room for silver.

I bought 1400 grams yesterday @ 21% below spot price for scrap sterling. :headbang:

Did my auction pick up and I originally calculated on what the seller stated. I weighed the lots and instead of 1400 it came in at 1601 grams.
Nice to see thus bump on top.

Here's 3 charts on silver
One is the silver inventory by COMEX dated 28 September, 2025
531,4844 MILLION OUNCES

This is the inventory as of 2 days ago

Inventory levels 454,5604 MILLION OUNCES

Screenshot 2025-12-16 at 8.44.36 AM.webp

This is a net loss in the inventory levels of 769,240 OUNCES
Interesting fact is the price hasn't increased the inventory levels

So basically the continued narrative of folks cashing in on the elevated price of silver hasn't driven the price down one bit. The paper that is being dumped to drive the price down hasn't worked either.
Yesterday they chucked 40 millions ounces at it 9:30 EST and it drove the price down 40 cents.

Pepper... there is alot more going on.... has been going on for awhile now.
That data is long old news.

The old way paper Ponzi scheme ways... are ... and have been... showing cracks for some time now...
Fiat currency is suffering as a result... which has been paving the way for metals to slowly become "the new old money" again.

As for silvers role...
The demand for silver has never been greater than now... it is used now for everything from industrial to investments.
It has become a different time... super high demand is now taking hold and is growing as we speak.

Inability to deliver promised paper contracted silver has started to begin... and our allies dont want paper... they want the metals instead now. (can you blame them ?)

The metal war has begun... (actually it has been slowly going on for a bit now) and now these shortages are beginning to show across the mainstream boards.

Major countries have stopped selling and exporting their metals in order to keep holdings and reserves.
Many countries... including the U.S... added Silver to their "Strategic / Critical minerals lists" months ago.
And starting Jan 1 2026 exports from the major suppliers like China will cease.
And these things are only the tip of it.

The WORLDWIDE metal war began quietly awhile ago... with major players in the know quietly stacking silver and other metals.
But just like every secret...
It is hard to keep with so many factors and participants involved.

So.......... Put your seatbelts on...
FOR................

2026 is definitely going to be a wild ride.

I heard Samsung bought some of the Mexican silver mining reserves for $78. Certainly a premium

I find gold, higher price is great !! I might hold on to some of it just in case the price gets stupid ! prospecting/mining is done for the year, rivers and creeks are rising. We have 7 rivers within 75 miles here so you can just imagine the tributaries to investigate. Culverts too !! :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
