Gold heading for $5,000 ?

Gold is still down $350 from it's 52 week high and silver is still down $5 from it's 52 week high. The higher it goes, the more people cash in their silver and gold. Keeps the price in check.

I recently sold 1 1/2 pounds of 14k plated computer pins for 250 bucks. Took me many hours to heat up and pull all those pins, but it was worth it. I had been sitting on a pile of scrap computer circuit boards for the last five years. Figured it was time to make some money off it. That's what happens when prices soar. People look for anything gold or silver they have hanging around to cash in on the hysteria.

How many pins and circuit boards did it take to get that much weight? That sounds like a daunting task.

While the general public participated in the selling, analysts attribute the downward price movement primarily to larger market forces.
The primary drivers were institutional profit-taking following an historic rally and a shift in market sentiment due to improving trade talks and a stronger US dollar.

Is there a premium for nuggets?
Yeah they go in grade from scrap price which is minus 20% for tiny stuff up to say an ounce but is ugly, you know can't be used as jewelry or would make a good display. As they get better in look and potential use it starts going up to spot price and when they're really nice its whatever you come to an agreement on.
The buyer I know is fair and decent, a good guy. Years ago there wasn't too many fair ones at all. I had some bills to pay and car repairs so got a few ounces together. I know some were really good and could have been used as jewelry as the place I worked for years earlier also purchased gold and took it as payment. The boss trusted me and knew I knew what was good and what wasn't so he'd often go out and let me buy for him or accept it as payments. Id left though by this stage and he wasn't buying often so I had no choice but to sell to a snake I knew. He never payed anything above scrap even for the best even though he'd say "if you ever have any nice ones Ill give you premium price". Anyway before I took the nuggets to him I put the 3 ounces, half definitely above scrap and jewelry class, into my monster dolly pot and pounded them into utter scrap flattened rubbish. 😂
When I pulled the destroyed pancakes out I could see his expression change but he'd agreed to buy 3 ounces of scrap gold so I gave him 3 ounces of trashed scrap gold. "Did you do this on purpose" he says. Im "no mate they had lots of ironstone and I don't use acid to clean so I pounded it out. It was just scrap stuff anyway". He purchased it. Saw his worker a few weeks later and she said he was spewing id done that. Bad luck I said, he'd only have burnt me anyway. She said it was particularly annoying to him because only a week earlier another guy I know, gun prospector, had a 10 ounce bit with some quartz that the snake told him he'd buy as scrap because of the couple of ounces of quartz and it didn't look anything special to him. She said it looked really nice. So the guy agrees to sell it for scrap (at that time there was stuff all buyers buying) so he goes to his car and comes back with a hammer and in front of the snakes shop in the main street proceeds to pound it into oblivion in front of his eyes on the footpath. Then comes in and say here's your scrap give me my money. 😂
The snake had already agreed and you didn't mess with the guy I knew that did it.
Wish id been there to see it. 😄

I could, at this stage, point out that my list of words and terms are taken in context of what you wrote, each one directly linked to statements you made, whereas your list seems to be just mutterings of insecurity. I am struggling with aligning most of them to my texts,, perhaps 'superiority complex' is related to an ability to spell ?.
Remember you came to me with your gold diatribe, I was just putting my point across.

I mean Jealousy... :toothy1:.... ??
Incoherent, there's a poignant adjective.

I'd say it took me around 10 hours to do it over the course of a few days. Not sure how many, but probably many thousands of pins. I mainly used a propane torch to melt the solder or a heat gun. Here's what a pound of the pins looks like. Quite a few!

Wow! That's crazy. Makes you wonder how much gold is tied up in all the electronics around the world.

They say A ton of e-waste can contain between 10 and 10,000 grams of gold, but the exact amount varies significantly depending on the type of e-waste.

For example, printed circuit boards are a rich source, containing around 90 grams of gold per ton, while other sources can yield as much as 551 grams per ton.

In general, e-waste contains about 10 times more gold than mined ore, which typically yields only 0.5 to 13.5 grams per ton.

So there is money to be made except you have much more than gold to deal with.

E-waste is either recycled into new products or ends up in landfills, which can contaminate soil and water with toxic substances like lead and mercury.

For proper recycling, e-waste is taken to special drop-off points where it is dismantled, sorted, and processed to recover valuable materials like gold, copper, and aluminum.

Data is destroyed, hazardous materials are safely extracted, and the remaining materials are reused to create new products.

The remaining materials are shredded into smaller pieces. Mechanical and chemical processes, like using magnets and water separation, are used to isolate different materials.

part of recycling process

Probably a person saw the hard drive and recycled it years ago.
Perfect example of imaginary wealth, and the real deal of PMs.

That is an odd comment ... I know what you are intending to say (i think), but as a metal detectorist, using your machine, set to reject trash (i presume) , you too are digging through other people's trash to try and find wealth.. What difference ? .. I bet most people would do a lot more than rummage around a dumpsite for 620 million..
