I believe if they ever get to the bottom, Someone will Dream up a reason why they need to Dig another hundred or so Feet Etc.

the Treasure is the dream itself.

And if the Laginas DO find something of value, the brains here on tnet will either claim that the Laginas staged it or that it's a modern pulltab🤣
