Oak Island Treasure Revelations

You dodged a bullet Cerris.

Those appearing as 'guest theorists' aren't there for what they know, it's like the screening for those shows like 'Americas Got Talent'.

They are there for their entertainment value; good, cringeworthy bad and nuts.

It's been a non stop parade of assorted dingbats and wannabes all trying to get their 15 minutes of segment time per episode before they are promptly dumped and their sure thing answer is never referred to again.

Except if you proved to be so exceedingly bad and your work so infuriatingly dumb the amount of audience anger you produced had its own publicity value so you were worth being allotted some more production time. Who could forget such exemplars of this as Jovan 'Roman Sword' Pulitzer and Mystic Zena's Authentic Sharpie Pen Treasure Map?

It's why those appearing on The Curse of Oak Island are called 'Kooks of the Week'.

One must consider Cerris, in that 12 years since you talked to them many other people since likewise heeded their call and supplied them with information, perhaps even from sources not imagined to exist.

Which raises a question worth pondering.

Perhaps you'd like to share your opinion :

Would the answer to the Oak Island 'mystery' most likely be found then with one of those few screened and selected to appear as a guest theorist on the show or do you think it would be most likely found in the vast amount of information the Oak Island team have received in over a decade but have decided to not inform the audience about?

What do you think Cerris?
Hi Freeman, I too have watched all the Curse episodes and I will tell you honestly that I am 95% confident that I can be of immense help to the present searchers, in locating the Subterranean treasure repository. I have recently told them when they're ready to finally give up searching in the Money Pit area I am willing to help them, no charge. I don't ask for kind of any payment or percentage of recovered treasure. Ok some kind of public accolade and acknowledgement of my assistance would be nice, if only to annoy the critics and trolls who would be forced to accept that I was in fact - the real deal. 😄

In answer to your question, to my knowledge there have not been a single guest who has appeared in the Curse series who can help in any way to locate the treasure. The current researchers have tried every kind of search project and investigated dozens of theories and leads, all to no avail. They are fully resolved to continually search everywhere and always to obey rules and regulations to the letter, they are certainly not hiding any secrets.
After about twelve hard working years working on the island they deserve success, but they are grasping at straws now, old pieces of china, coins, metal artefacts and lot's of wood does not compensate for not finding the actual treasure. You can only get so much millage out of those things and the patience of the vast amount of people watching is running out. This prolonged failure to produce the actual treasure is resulting in escalating unfair criticism, apathy, frustration, and scepticism, and I can see the History Channel pulling the plug before much longer.
There is a light at the end of the tunnel Freeman but that will all depend on the decision of the current searcher's, they will only succeed in bringing their arduous quest to a successful conclusion by excepting my free offer of help. At almost 86 I ain't getting any younger, and when I go to the great golf in the sky - it's game over.

Also, since the air is pushed up under the sealed platforms, the bubbles are not going to travel down to the tunnel entry point and find their way to the atlantic.
if that could actually happen, there would be no air/bubbles left for Dan Blankenship to see 200 years later.
I suspect he saw a polynyas

See Henry's Law.
Also note the island "breathes" seawater with every tide from both sides of the island, meaning there is water movement to draw out the air.
200 years, not likely.

When the subterranean tunnels protection system of Oak Island was activated (flooded) sand (that was contained in sea water) once continually entered down into the South Shore inlets. This perpetual influx once caused the sand to slide down all the descending tunnels to finally settle at the bottom of the Money Pit "Sand Sump". Air bubbles then continually rose to any surface of water, irrespective of where various water surface levels may be located, for instance in any shaft or eventually through ascending tunnels an extensive distance to the open sea. The appearance of the ice holes where dye had once been seen proved a direct link to the Money Pit, even after two hundred years, but that's all gone now, and no treasure was ever stored there anyway, you'll see.

According to OIS CAD diagram, the box drains are located close to shore in Smith's Cove. Lets assume they are 20ft below sea level at low tide.
At 20 feet below sea level, the hydrostatic pressureis approximately 8.89 psi

The four manmade outlets according to OIS are 300ft off South Shore putting them in deeper water than the box drains. Lets assume 40ft below sea level at low tide.
At 40 feet below sea level, the hydrostatic (gauge) pressure is approximately 17.78 psi

Lets assume high tide rises 10ft, the hydrostatic pressure at the box drains in Smith's Cove will increase to 13.33 psi; however, the tide has the same affect at South Shore so the hydrostatic pressure will increase to 22.23 psi .

Since the 4 man made openings are always at a higher pressure than the box drains any water flow (i.e., breathing) would be from South Shore to the box drains so any bubbles would not be released at South Shore but off the east shore in Smith's Cove.

According to OIS's digram the sand sump is loacated at 180ft. Assuming the depositors maintained a 12’X12' vertical shaft to 180ft, I will add...
Based on oceanographic principles, a 12’x12’ (approx. 3.6m x 3.6m) sand area at 180 ft (approx. 55 meters) below sea level will produce very few, if any, lasting bubbles due to tide-induced stirring

I should point out that if you google tidal stirring of sand sumps in the ocean, the reponse is millions of bubbles can be created.
However, when you put the sand sump at the bottom of a 180ft vertical shaft, the tidal stirring has no affect.

Here's why...
When the flood tunnel network described by OIS is full and equilibrated, the hydrostatic pressure at the sand sump located at 180ft (i.e., 150 feet below sea level) is 66.67 psi.
Any change in pressure at the finger drains or the 4 man made openings is negligible compared to the pressure at the sand sump.

It's all a load of bollox... sorry... the whole thing.. mind numbing drivel slop.
Hi AstraDruid, I hope what you considered to be drivel was just C O's complicated analysis, I feel that if you asked him the time he'd tell you how a wrist watch works. 😆

Hi CO, the box drains at Smith Cove were not twenty feet deep below the beach, I don't where you got that from, they were just under the surface of the sand.
I offered a possible theory for the air bubbles rising from the South Shore inlets/outlets on the sea bed, they once constantly rose up to the surface to form the strange holes in the ice when the sea was frozen over. I will offer you one more possible answer.
If you look at the CAD you will see that the nearest inland shafts (that are in line with the off shore inlets/outlets) each one has a (yellow coloured) shallow sand sump at the bottom. Those air shafts are located just inside the Beach Road, they were predicted by me and mentioned to the late Dan Blankenship when at his invitation I visited him on Oak island. Sometime in the future after some serious storm damage he discovered them exposed by powerful wave action, they were located where I had previously predicted he would find them if he looked. The air shafts are still there and they are about twenty feet deep and when they were sealed they may have been the source of the air bubbles.

I don't know for where the air bubbles once came from and since they have stopped rising, and the outlets/inlets on the sea bed are completely covered over now I won't loose any sleep thinking about it.
You can of course continue to record your own theories C O and undermine those of other people, (and doubt previous records) but in the finale analysis all you really have yourself is more unproven theories to support your own various trivial pursuits.

I am not an oak island expert so it would be pointless for me to develop any theories of my own.

However, i can and do fact check stories and theories by asking "how?" This is to determine what and who to believe.

If someone feels i have undermined their theory, its because the answers to "how?" proved it is not plausible or impossible.

I was in fact referring to the whole Oak island saga........ No offence to anyone who is 'big into' it , but I just have a feeling that it is pure codswallup........

CO, So by that rational any theories that have not been rubber stamped and proven to your satisfaction and by you personally then in your opinion they are not feasible.

That's priceless coming from someone who has dogmatically expressed his criticism of other peoples theories to further develop his own thesis, and by not submitting his own theory he avoids any returned criticism himself.

You stated that the box filter drains were twenty feet deep, what evidence have you got to even support that suggestion? zilch is what you've got.
You also personally stated the filter drains were actually located at - the South Shore, ok, so will you now you provide us with clear proof of that statement that you have already put in the public domain please.
Am I at all threatened by your undermining attacks on my theories , you've got to be joking, you cannot be serious.😆

AstralDruid, hang in there mate, it's not a load of codswallop there really us a huge treasure beneath Oak Island but it's not near or in the Money Pit. If I get a phone call this summer I will end all the doubts.🤞 The finale chapter in Oak Island Saga will compensate everyone for many frustrating years of waiting.

With regards to the drains...
i assumed 20ft at the finger drains (i.e., Smith's Cove) and 40ft at South Shore to demonstrate the hydrostatic pressure at South Shore would be 8.89psi higher than Smith's Cove because the 4 openings are 20ft deeper.
If you put the finger drains just below low tide the pressure at South Shore is even higher: 15.58psi.
Bubbles will take the path of least resistance so the bubbles would travel toward the finger drains where there is less pressure.

When it comes to theories...
There are many stories and theories and many of them are conflicting to the point where i personally did not know what to believe so i decided to fact check them using Google AI as my expert. Here is what i found...
1. A ship could sail from Europe and arrive at Oak Island in May.
2. The men could dig a 100ft deep vertical shaft without cribbing or with cribbing and complete either method and hide them during the dry season by September.
3. If they still had open shafts when the rain started followed by the harsh winter, the shafts would collapse.
4. The ice holes witnessed by the late Dan Blankenship couldn't have been from four openings 300ft off South Shore due the higher hydrostatic pressure.
5. A sand sump located at the bottom of a 180ft deep vertical shaft will not generate any bubbles due tidal stirring.

I can see where a person could interpret these conclusions as criticism when they disprove parts of their theory.
I don't expect to change their mind but rather chose not to beleve them no matter how many times they name drop.

If you put the finger drains just below low tide

I don't have a dog in this particular fight but just for the record, the finger drain system was supposedly found at just *above* low tide level. It is, in fact, how they found it ... once the tide was out a "clear stream" of water could be seen regurgitating out of the sand where the drains were.

You are correct. The Truro Syndicate reported water seeping from the sand at low tide which they attributed to the flood tunnels.
This still indicates the hydrostatic pressure in the vertical shaft is higher than the pressure at the finger drains (i.e., air bubbles would travel towards the finger drains).
The seepage indicates its not a clear opening but restricted slowing the egress as the tide went out.

C O, you seem to pull figures out of thin air to fit your negative hypothesis, the reality is that most folk are only interested in the recovery of the treasure - period.

Only your supporters are going to be interested in your insistence that the correct Hydrostatic Pressure is required for the subterranean flood tunnel system to work, that is according to my theory as shown in the CAD.

1/ The shafts could well have been excavated in the hot Summer to avoid winter rain damage, you got that from me.
2/ Cribbing in the Oak Island shafts were not required, you also got that from me.
3/ The shafts were sealed before the winter rain came, you got that from me as well.
4/ You clearly lack the accurate measurements of previously recorded things discovered (or the work done) on Oak Island at your disposal.
You appear to be apathetic about this basic requirement, if this is true it is unethical to simply invent some things to support your analysis, and then to present them on this forum as the sound basis of your critical comments of someone else's theory, which appears to be essentially all your interested in.

People who come to websites like this are really only interested in treasure hunting, not the constant negativity of anyone who appears to be on a ego trip. Who really cares about air bubbles, cribbing, and hydrostatic pressure, all anyone will ask today is -where's the treasure?

Smile if you know. 😁 :icon_thumleft:

Hydrostatic pressure is calculated using Boyles law and known since 1662. Its also well known pressure increases the deeper you go in the ocean and why scuba divers get the benz when they ascend too quickly.

Using Boyles law is certainly not unethical.
however, presenting a theory that ignores Boyles law certainly is!

I did change my position on digging vertcal shaft without cribbing do to Gravelteeth's geology friend who stated it is possible dig a deep shaft during the dry season but they would collapse during the rainy season and winter. Further research on my part revealed they would collapse due to increase in water table and seepage.
You made it clear the horizontal tunnels out to the shores were kept open until they detonated the explosives. These tunnels would be more susceptible to the water table and certainly collapse.

Air bubbles ARE important to someone like me who is also interested in retrieving treasure but not interested in a theory that's not based in basic facts.

Why are air bubbles so important to someone like you?
How can they possibly further your expressed interest in retrieving treasure? after all isn't that the purpose of this website.

In the absence of proven basic facts how can someone like you be possibly be interested in something that has yet to be retrieved or even been proven to exist, or will constitute actual treasure.
If (in defiance of any scientific objections) some one else's unsubstantiated hypothesis is one day shown to be correct, and actual treasure is finally recovered by relying on unproven facts would that sorta ruin your thesis, or would you consider that the end justifies the means.

Let me try again to explain in plain simple terms, 1/All flood tunnels descended at an angle to allow sand contained in cloudy sea water to slide down to the bottom of the Money Pit sand sump. 2/ All the shafts were finally sealed at their tops. 3/ The fuses were finally lit to close down the mine indefinitely. They used four separate South Shore tunnels as insurance against possible blockages at the inlets.
As sea water eventually filled most of the tunnels any subsequent blockage or collapsed shaft was at that point no longer the cause for concern, the terrified perpetrators had already abandoned the treasure anyway in order to escape the Hangman's noose.

Regarding shafts not requiring any cribbing in hot summer months. Gravity Teeth's kind Geology friend had merely confirmed what I had already told you first first, maybe that little point had slipped your mind.

As a matter of interest Paul Hawkins got the theory of a possible William Kidd and Henry Every covert partnership from me.
