Question on home protection firearms

Must really suck to walk around all one's life without a clue as to how evil people can be. Or maybe having no idea of the Real World is more pleasant than reality. I truly hope that people like that never experience the Evil that walks this world. May they all live peaceful lives and die as clueless as they are.

Ask a cop if I'm right the next time you see one if you don't believe me. Or don't- its probably a lot more fun in RainbowLand.
(yes, that's a movie reference!)

If your reference is eluding to that I must be clueless and walk around thinking there's no evil. Well your mistaken there totally. There is the good, the bad, and down right ugly. I'm fully aware of where I go and choose if correctly.(must work as I am still here)
It's kind of funny when you reference "ask a cop" I have and the reply is different from each one as it's demographics. Live and work in the hood yup there's evil.

Must kind of suck to have to arm oneself in their own home to feel protected against the possibility of being attacked. I ask myself would I live in such a place where I have to have a gun under every pillow, or behind the door, or on the night stand to feel safe? No I would probably move on to a place where there's no threat, or to a place where there's bigger things to fret about in life.
Kind of a strange way to live life I figure, where one has to pack to feel safe from that unknown threat that might come. It's not in the cards for me to go that route, I'll just have to accept it if ever comes, but I'm not going to make it a pinnacle of my survival.

Its a long lived American cultural among our multi-cultural society, and as long as there are people who feel the need to speak against us for living our freedom among our own culture then our culture will be threatened.

But yes I agree it does suck, and regardless of how much wealth one has, how much education, there will always be other cultures against ours exercising their freedom of speech whilst others are away or busy providing selfless service. For many that have found their calling have made it the pinnacle of life to protect and serve anyone in need regardless of their culture.

I am certain one day some cultures will have grown tired of serving others, and leave them to fend for them selves.

It's called freedom, I choose to be free and I choose to be armed as is my right, I have been armed all my life, well at least the last 50+ years of it.

So you must not carry any type of insurance, health, life, home, fire, after all to do so would mean you prepared for some " unknown threat that might come."

I love to bounce your logic off others especially the part about carrying insurance. Not arguing the insurance card. Car insurance is a law, same as a smoke & CO detection devices in the home, even the common seatbelt. I don't or need life insurance, what for? I'm already gone, so no worry about that. Medical insurance is provided and when it comes time where the meds cost are too high, well I will go on welfare and everything is free. Kind of cool isn't that, and totally messed up too.
Yes you are free same as me, just the idea of what free means is different TH. You pack, live within reach of a gun that will take care of the problem if it was to arise. I have a lock on my door, same as on my buildings as it provides the basics of security. Some person wants in well they will if they choose to, no lock will stop them.
I never have stated where you live but the responses are all the same " Must be an American" and that is from ones that only spend the summers here and have for generations. Why? They feel good to live where it's .......calm, peaceful, are the replies. Kind of a strange point of view, coming from ones that are from the land of the free.
Guarding your home isn't the thing TH, it's the amount of what one defines as enough.
Does one good boot opens your door or does it take many boots and it still stays closed?

To live in a multicultural society is one thing, to view it is another. It's a hard pill to swallow when "the way it used to be" changes. Some changes are good and some are not. The country ( at least mine) is getting segmented to the point where everyone wants it to fit their beliefs and needs. So it becomes grey as nothing seems to fit as it did.
Trying to help others around this spinning globe sometimesis like trying to help an addict, won't work unless they're willing to change.

What country would that be?

LOL, and they stay in the hood 24/7 doncha know.

I could read it again, but I'm certain I didn't name anyone and meant it only for those it applies to.

Helps keep people from being stupid anyways. Everybody use their indoor voice, helps keep it civil.

Where would that be? Denmark?

There is no place in North America I can think of where violence is absent. It's seldom your neighbor - it is someone who targeted your home for whatever reason. Sometimes BECAUSE it is quiet and remote. When seconds count - the police are only 20 minutes away.

The species is just like that.

Watch the news and see how many times the phrase "nothing like that ever happens around here" pops up.

We've never had a home fire - but I have three fire extinguishers. Should I say "I don't live where homes catch fire" and get rid of them?

I don't arm myself because I am afraid. I arm myself to be prepared for self-defense.

My SUV has a spare tire - not because I fear a flat tire. But because that is how I can keep going if one happens.

where i live it is way in the woods and the police is like 30 min away so we have a fence and a gate and guns

True violence isn't absence from any place, and many times it is a common comment of "nothing like that ever happens around here"

Justification of why one has to be armed is evident, no doubting that.
Just read it used to be 12per100K, then it dropped to 9per100K, now it's around 10.5per100K again. Ownership is 112.5/100k

No I don't live in Denmark but our rate is under 2per100K Ownership is 30.8/100K

Well what's referred to as "The Great White North" by many.

That would depend on exactly how limited your experiences have been, off hand I know of 22 places nick named this, six of them countries. But I get it, simple direct questions are not your thing.

Good luck to you.

Now you're just trolling. Nobody believes that- not even the ones in the Institutions.

eta: you Are over 12, right? sometimes on the internet we all just assume that everyone is an adult. nothing wrong with that- we were all there once.

So wait a minute-

1 out of 15.4 gun owners shoots somebody?

The States have less violence. Where do you live , Hollywood?

Actually our rate is.38/100k. The USA is 6.4/100K so that puts it in the category of one has defend themselves where in Canada it's just mellow. Must be the snow.

No things do stay there.
Case point:
Buddy lived in the hood, bang-bang he looked out the window saw dude putting holes in his neighbors body. Asked him what he did- " went back watching the tv"
So it stayed right there-in the hood.
