Was just looking on Google at one of our homes in the bahamas....it was really incredible to live on your own island !! This island was called "Goat key", and I would spend time on it each year for at least a month....on nice days I could swim across the chanel at low tide to the mainland. There was a bar with a pool table....and we kids would play pool a bunch !! We were very self sufficient and water was caught in a cistern for drinking, and showering !! I would trade it all to be back there now !!

I was lucky enough to fire on my Regimental rifle team in the Marines,National Match M-14s and Lake City Match ammo.I loved the 600 YD slow fire stage of the National Match course.20 rounds,20 Minutes, 20 inch bull with a 12 inch V ring.
Good going !:)Then as a Marine you might remember this guy.He taught me the 'fine art' of long range :) RIP buddy.

My failure of a outing at my local fair grounds lots of junk, some I think repos of older tokens, pins, and maybe a old mechanical pencil but it's toast curious about it if anyone knows it's age though..

If that's a failure , you might not enjoy detecting with me! L.o.l..

Tokens were used in the push/pull machines. Other places too...

In your pile picture is a black ferrule type rod thingy dingy with a knurled handle. (?)
Trying to remind me of a peg for a slate/glass turkey call.

The weird thing my brother made so I can hold my rings, not very good for it but I use it since he made it lol. Going to make a test garden and see what all these ring up with to hone my skills. I mostly hunt parks these days and rings are what I look for to avoid junk.

Man,I sure would have liked to meet him!! He was raised outside Little Rock,a little place called Geyer Springs,it,s all a suburb of the city now but was bush in Hathcock,s day. Any body who was into shooting in the 70s in the USMC knew who Hathcock was. You,re a lucky man!
