Rich people move here to Florida all the time & of course many choose to live right on the beach. An extremely harsh environment for a house or any building. The salt permeates everything & they cannot understand why they are replacing everything every couple of years. Electrical fixtures & HVAC take a real beating. Constant maintenance barely keeps up.

Yep! The PNW is famous for our storms, I have been in a few 100 MPH hold on to your hat, 40 foot swell, beach changers!

Great Uncle's long ago songs list (I can recall some family events and music) has Big Bad John on it.
Many years later a tiny used car sales place I/we bought a Buick Regal at had an old record player with a 45 of Big Bad John on it.
A young salesman played it after each sale of his.
I don't recall why that song anymore...

I can't remember 'cause that was a long time ago! I'm in the middle for age of random chaters.... old-er Whats a Buick Regal? Some kinda dog breed?

Ran a early seventies with a 400 engine and a Thrush muffler.
Don't know if you're familier with Thrush but they were like along tin can.

Spring time. People getting summer rides out type timing.

A.M.C. Javelin pulled up alongside at a stop light and must have liked what he heard.
He rapped his throttle a couple times watching me ; so I obliged with a return A-Hoom! A-Hoom!.
Light turned green and the guy trounced on it.
I politely rolled forward and eased ahead. No hurry as I'm not going to beat on the old girl.
About a quarter miles ahead about then a big poof and cloud of smoke.
A,M,C, pulled onto the shoulder and I tooted the horn on the way by.
True story!

Gets dark and passengers fall asleep to the drone of loud constant noise on a cruise. Tired as much from shouting prior probably.

I have one of these on the Firebird. Nothing inside to burn out!! I think mine was a stainless version
