Rich people move here to Florida all the time & of course many choose to live right on the beach. An extremely harsh environment for a house or any building. The salt permeates everything & they cannot understand why they are replacing everything every couple of years. Electrical fixtures & HVAC take a real beating. Constant maintenance barely keeps up.
And cars. Lived at 3 different ocean areas over the yrs. Barwon Heads and Collendina in Victoria on the surf coast and Yeppoon in Queensland. The closer to that ocean spray the worse it was. I had no problems as we were always a couple of ks from the beaches but those living on them payed for that view big time.

A friend at Collendina had a brand new Ford Falcon and in just 4 yrs time it had 2 holes you could almost fit your fist through. He ended up moving.

I have one of these on the Firebird. Nothing inside to burn out!! I think mine was a stainless version :icon_scratch:
Thrush welded.
If I can figure out/care/have the time I will record the Firebird running. The "welded" thrush has no packing to burn out, should last a long time we will see!! Above link gives great pics of the muffler in question.

Reapers or Scorpions. My Broome chillis just survived the summer. I had to put the pot under the carport out of any direct sun. My fattali were destroyed from bugs and grubs I couldn't keep up with them. My urban tomato plant died from heat stress through that mad 3 mths non stop high temps between 30c to 45c.
It wasn't a good season at all.

Pure arse burners.
I'm not going to touch them. It is advised that you where gloves and.....wait for it... a mask!. :laughing9:

I make fine ground powder or did once, for paint ball rounds. I will probably never use them in fact i think my modified .50 cal was recalled!! I will fix it dammit.

I had one of these an XE Falcon, I spent several grand having it done up. It just had a 250 cross flow but had been bored out and I had a better heavy duty gearbox put in it. It wasn't a fan of our lead free fuel so I had to use additives and octane booster and mods done on the twin barrell Webber carby. Had a Genie stainless extractor with full stainless all the way, can't recall the size diameter but was way bigger than most others, about as round as a large coffee mug. The muffler was an Aussie Redback. I loved that car and the exhaust was perfect, low throttle to medium and it didn't make a racket at all and just low tone burble away unlike many that sound like a race car coming yet are just doing 60kph. 😆
But floor it and it had an awesome open up growl. It had some serious go for a straight 6, surprised a few mechanics that drove it when id get something done.
I regret not putting a heavier duty clutch in it, it had a heavier one than standard but it couldn't handle the engine and would slip a little giving it to it really hard from a standstill floor it take off.
Similar to this but the previous owner of mine had the front nose cone area customised to look different better. Mine was metallic blue with matching metallic blue 12 slotter rims. When we lived in a bit of a young hoon driver town and id drop it off at a mechanics for something, he also sold cars, he would continually get offers from guys to buy it thinking it was for sale. 😆
It was probably my favorite car I ever owned. The front end of mine looked meaner than this which is standard.

See you survived the drive.
Now the unloading, getting settled, while thinking of getting some playtime in.
Yessir! Easy drive through the dez.
Got multiple play days planned; Sunday with Conito@55 up in Virginia City, then a couple of days midweek up in the Sierra's at a couple of favorites. :icon_thumright:
