Something happened to our boiler system late Friday. It only heats the water to 115F for a brief moment, then shuts down.

Repair guy this morning to diagnose the problem, then order the parts.

Hopefully I can pick them up tomorrow in the city, for an install on Thursday.

Good morning! Just got back last night from four days camping in the Ocala National Forest. On Sunday night we watched strange lights appearing in the sky and moving and turning in unbelievable ways then disappearing. A couple of times they would split into different lights then go back together. Watched it for about an hour. Tried to film it but it just looked like blobs.

Here is a bit of, did you know?

In North America, there are an estimated 270+ species.
The Lampyridae are a family of elateroid beetles with more than 2,000 described species, many of which are light-emitting. They are soft-bodied beetles commonly called fireflies, lightning bugs.

Around my home there's 100s flickering every night.
About 8 yrs ago it was truly magical where no matter where we looked there were 100s in one area.
We would go out and walk Max around the trails and watch the show.

I was camping in Arizona last year and saw what you are describing. It turned out to be Starlink satellites being put into position.

larvae spend 2 years (?) underground.
Making them vulnerable to pesticides ect..

Swatted one that was previously unidentified in the dark outside with the dogs the other night for bothering me (eek a bug hitting me!) and felt bad when it hit the house and glowed in defiance of my ruining it's career.

We have hydronic heating, in floor in the master bedroom. Split air with 3 heads for A/C and heating to 15F then the boiler is used more for efficiency.
Just cleaned the coil this morning after x yrs.

Sure squash my firefly theory.
What a buzz killer you R.

Starlink sounds 👌

I was going to mow but it’s too hot. At least the grass doesn’t grow when it’s 100 plus index
