"Mad Max" weather ?

Yep, rained most of the night, raining now and freezing cold. Its messed up for sure most of my attempts at any veges and chillis. My summer squash plants look like they're just a week or two old, they're a month and a half old. Few chilli seeds have just sprouted but they should have weeks ago. I doubt they'll come to much if anything this year. Don't think ill waste my time next season.

That sounds like what happened to my garden this year. Cold and wet during the time the plants should have been growing to full size, then turned hot and very dry for the whole growing season. The only things that managed to produce at all were squashes and jalapeño peppers. Everything else just stalled without growing and eventually just died.

We got snow flurries this afternoon. It didn’t stick but once the word gets out they will be coming in like a hurricane in Florida. They freak out and buy everything. Glad I’m off work tomorrow 🤭

Sounds like how mine will go. Yellow sweet peppers haven't grown an inch since they were planted. Only things that have been growing are some giant sunflowers I started in pots. Was going to put them in the ground a couple of weeks ago but have been holding off. They're just to attract the birds when they seed. At least they'll get a feed hopefully.

Good afternoon crew! Had to go to the funeral of my 80 year-old sister's partner. He was 84 and had been sick and in a nursing care facility for about 3 years. She is doing well, but it has been hard on her. Rained on the rip over the mountains and coming home, too! Supposed to get more rain tomorrow. and night temps tonight in the 30'sF. Br-r-r-r-r!

Not sure what this is but a neat big piece of silver with a nice cut amethyst. I thought it was just going to be a dime when I dug it but nope. Cleaned up really nice whatever it is.

Why??

The thyroid condition and cancer I have causes with some fluid retention, with now and then other's the opposite. Im the opposite one. Iv been struggling with dehydration for a few yrs now. Now I know why. Iv had this undiagnosed for a few yrs then. So anything that can act as a diuretic like caffeine ramps it up. Its similar to how diabetics have frequent urination.
Off for the full body scan tomorrow. Thankfully the weathers going to be ok for the drive there and back. 😀
