Warm one today. 26c - 78f at 9am right now. Getting up to 36c - 97f later today.
Gardens hanging in there but we haven't hit the big heats yet, they start next month through to March.

I bet it was fantastic to see live.
Where I used to live in Maryborough Victoria they have the largest Scottish gathering and games in the Southern Hemisphere. All the traditional music with pipes and drums, highland games of caber tossing and stone lifting, dancing the lot. All ends with a huge fireworks display. Its pretty well put on really. This year its the 163rd event. A lot of Scotts came here to Victoria during the goldrush.

Went out to barn, glad that the boots have the studded accessory. Getting very shiny on every surface.

Got generator ready, picked up 20 gallons of fuel. Cooked up squash for 3 days now, then 2 huge Sheppard/Cottage pies.
Did squash ginger soup last night.

This is turning into a movie skit-squash instead of shrimp. 🤣

Just had our first power surge interruption.
But it managed to stay on.
The forecast is winds of 35+mph later this morning. Probably will be on the generator soon.

Good morning everyone. The cold front rolled through right on schedule yesterday. It was 66 (F) when I got up. Spent the morning outdoors in a T-Shirt doing chores. About noon the wind picked up and by 1:00 I was reaching for a jacket. Temperature dropped to 54 by 2:00 and I added a hood to that jacket. By 3:00 it was down to 43 and I switched to a regular coat. At 4:00 it was in the 30's, and I had hat and gloves. By nightfall just after 5:00, it was in the upper 20's and I retreated indoors This morning it's a whopping 15 degrees -- a full 50 degrees cooler than yesterday morning. Almost feels like January is coming.

Good morning!☕️ The front came roaring through. Temp was 67°F yesterday afternoon. Had a 42mph gust last night with a 50° temp drop! And now it just started snowing!
