Remember the truck back with some wire and clean copper on Saturday
That is now a 100+% profit. Without stripping any cable.
Crazy times we've living in today.
20 yrs ago copper was crazy high at $5.00 (broker level)
Yards in Toronto are now paying $7.00

Good afternoon everyone.
Woke up today and ran to pick up some packages and a utility cart...wagon...for yard work and other things.
I got the parts for my broken dryer. Took the 1 part and plugged it in and it works! So I canceled the washer/dryer combo.
Got some chisels and an estwing 20oz masonry hammer. And both my uv lights shipped.
So ill be in my chair the rest of the day....lol

We have a vintage Kenmore dryer that we bought used when we moved into
our home back in 2003. Other than replacing a couple of blown thermostats
it's the most dependable appliance in the house.

It was made back when they built appliances to last. Today I believe they design
in weaknesses in some parts, so that they can profit from the replacement parts
and labor.

Coaxing engine on plow truck to hang in there.
headed back out to see how it's running.
Left fan turned up with heat on trying to dry the fog off the glass. Froggy froggy.

Peeked underneath looking for the swishing sound last time I plowed. Ewwww.
Will turn radio up louder next time.
Should probably be prepared to jump out as well.
Engine is/was running smooth though!

Anyways it happens when a certain change from the inside vs the outside. The warm up I have waited, and waited, wiping, and then swearing. ( Yes I'm still referring to the windows)
I have read that it's a oil/dirt film from us and the ventilation system.

Why do I have the inkling to go to the drive in movies?🤣

I can still see his smile, but then again it was almost too fake to believe he was genuine.

I had a friend who was a prospector, really good too. Older than me, and he needed dentures. Front top and bottom. So he had some of the gold he found turned into gold teeth dentures. Some, ha, a little bit of more correctly.
I still remember when I saw him for the first time with them. Im "hey mate nice teeth" he replied "yeah its .......... gold. I got some of my favorite place in my mouth."
They looked ok to be honest.

Yeah they do. Planned obsolescence. Its everywhere. Think its been going on for quite a while. I read about the incandescent light bulbs that they were capable of lasting 10 times longer than they did but manufacturers decided they'd make much more money designing them to fail after a certain usage time and getting people to replace them regularly. The design to "self destruct" is rampant in Mobile Phones. I think I Phone was caught out deliberately slowing their phones down. They claimed different and that it was to protect the phone or whatever but other manufacturers didn't do it just them. There was a class action over it where you are.

F/V Texas Lady is 65' in length. Afternoon high tide has unfortunately moved her parallel to the sea. They are going to try and get it strapped (with 1700 feet of tow line that is on its way from Seattle) and then get that lead out to a Tug which is coming from Coos. There will first be attempts by divers and land crew to get her strapped. If that doesn't work, a helicopter crew will try.
Another scenario, involving the luck of the sea, is that the higher tide early in the morning pushes her back into the drink and then she gets attached to the tug whilst afloat.

The difference between a cheap and a high quality light bulb is the solder on the end.
Everything you have a lightbulb go on there's a tiny arc. It eats away at the glob on the end. When the socket inside piece touches the now exposed wire of the bulb POOF!.

If you add a thicker glob of solder to the end it just keeps on going.
My Brother-in-law had one of these burning for 3 decades or more.
