Man, you need a 14" gas cut off saw with a metal blade. A Sawzall would be miserable cutting through that crap.

Oh I have a 14" Stihl 420-but it's a bit** to start on a cold day.
Actually a Diablo Demo Demon and cutting fluid works really well on this ladder.
For some reason the blades kept flipping out.
I was flipping it the bird, well until the 5 ft steel bar chopped me across the top of the foot.
Then it was a blue streaker of 4 letter words not all starting a F.
I haven't looked at it yet as I can still feel my heart beat where it hit.

Picked up my pup Daisy from the vet. She got a cut play with the other dogs. Nothing vicious just rough play. Ziggy pushed his food plate to her and it made me tear up! He is so kind and thoughtful! Now we are camping on the bedroom floor. We're gonna have a little party and watch License to Drive and The Burbs.

Misses just buys things she like the look of. She saw this for $2 at an opp shop. A guy said to her after she had picked it up "oh that's nice my wife would love that".
My misses reckons she said "yes im someone's wife and I would love it too!"
At the register the lady whispered to my misses "he's an antique dealer" and winked.
I don't follow the metals other than gold when I need to sell to buy something. It could raise a $1000 and if im not selling I wouldn't know. Something was on the news yesterday about the silver rise and the misses said "hey is this cake server I got for $2 silver?"
I checked, its heavy and not magnetic. But otherwise personally im clueless on these things.

It does look a tad dull in appearance

So fake 800 markings then. Someone long ago got ripped off by the looks of it.
My late grandmother got stooged by an art dealer once paying about $500 back in the 60s for what was supposed to be an original Albert Namatjira (famous Aussie Aboriginal artist) painting. Yrs later we found out it was faked.
As Ned Kelly was infamously quoted as saying in his last words before being hung "such is life". (He actually never said it and the reporter there just hearing him mumble his last words unintelligiblely decided to make something up for the story. Hence the common "such is life" saying here in Australia when things don't go well, can't be changed and it doesn't matter.)

Great afternoon crew! Another sunny day and cold (to me)! Temperature again in the low 40'sF. Cut down some climatis bushes today. The and they grow 10 feet to 12 feet high every season. They are beautiful in full bloom!

Yeah 800 on the handle. But I think I just found an identical one on eBay that states its Zinc Silver Plated. I think its 2 buck pricetag was probably correct. The antique guy was probably gonna bump the price up in his shop and rip someone off. So all good in the end. Saved someone being done by a dog perhaps. 👍

Yesterday hunt. I put $20 in my buddy gas tank and we were off. Got there and as soon as my buddy turn on the detector he realized the coil was bad, so I told him we can take turns using my detector. Then I get the my first signal and try to dig it out and found out the ground was frozen WTF this is California and we were just up there two weeks ago and it was raining. So every target we works together using any available rock as a hammer on our digging tools. After switching back-and-forth with the detector a few times, my buddy got a silver. We dug it out together and he gave it to me.View attachment 2241548then he got another silver then it was my turn with the detector. My first old coin was my first wheat cent of the year. Just get a cheap test kit, or get some shop that buys to test it. No harm if it isn't.
Still you can have your piece of cake served in style.

Chilly here tonight (10:15pm local time)....dragged the garbage bin out to the street,
and was greeted by the neighbors fat, tailless cat...named "Bob", of course..

Re-learning the functions of my Nokta Fors Gold..can't decide if I want to sell it and
do a major upgrade, or keep it and save the money. In truth, I haven't done any serious
detecting since the 90's, as life, health, marriage(s) and a whole bunch of other crap
got in the way of me having any fun.

Considering upgrading to the XP Deus II, but not sure I can handle the technicality
of such an advanced piece of kit.
