Question about YouTube.
Has anyone else noticed that suggested videos on YouTube are getting weirder?
The majority im seeing these days are either total fantasy bogus rubbish being passed off as reality or AI generated garbage.
Some are so pointless I don't get it. For example maybe a video of a guy finding an old car in the forest then he restores it showing how he did it all. But its fake, AI and serves no point, yet the Internet is awash with this stuff. People supposedly doing outrageous things, but AI faked. Fake news stories about some made up discovery or incident. I can kind of get it if someone makes them for a joke or entertainment, but the majority are utterly pointless and or just stupid. This stuff has to be making people stupider and I can't help but feel there is something a bit sinister behind it rather than being random.
I click on a video here, and the suggestions in the ones down the bottom of the screen are fake stupidity. I have never even searched myself for anything like them so it can't be algorithms.

That makes two of us. Why go to the trouble of making such nonsense? Surely there aren't enough people clicking through to make any money off them?

Makes me glad I spend as little time on YouTube as humanly possible.

They suggest-I click right on by.
I just enter what I want to watch, lately it's mainly on refining silver and a bit of gold.
There's only a couple that I follow as their set ups are great.
I do chuckle at the ones that are produced in the developing countries though.

My first female dentist, foreign, named Magnolia.😊 My first question to her was “Can men get pregnant?” She laughed hard and said NO! And she knew exactly why I asked it.😎 She was good, extraction was painless.👍🏻

Agreed..it has been one of "those" days.

Our daughter is, sadly, fighting late stage cancer(s), and my wife is going to go and
spend next week with her, meaning I'll be home caring for myself and the critters,
and with no car since she's driving down to the Portland area.

Jenny has been fighting this crap for nearly ten years now, and she's still got
a "never give up" attitude. My Mrs., on the other hand, is not managing it
too well now that the damn cancer seems to be spreading itself around
Jenny's interior. It'll be good for them to spend some time together.

So, today I had to go and get whatever I'll need for the next week..like food,
cigs and of course, weed. I hate going into cities...even Mt. Vernon..traffic is
nuts, and the stores and highways are packed with too damn many people. I'm
used to our little town of 800....and avoid cities whenever possible.

So, not a great day, but I'm finally settled into my shop to watch some UFC.

Really sorry to hear that about your daughter. Very sad news. A long battle by the sounds of it. ☹️

There used to be a few videos of the goldrush in Sudan where they were cutting up big nuggets and melting them. It brought tears to the eyes seeing them do it. That was maybe 15 yrs ago when I saw them. Some beautiful huge specimens too. All destroyed. I knew a guy that went there, it was advised by a guide not to go near the areas being rushed. 😬
Did you ever see any of those videos of them melting down and hacking up the nuggets? They were finding crazy amounts.
