Snow.
Cold.
Mouse in ceiling again.
Good thing there's free bird seed and suet near for them.
Trapped two voles and a mouse in the past week outside.

Got one out of the Honda this week.

Driving home last Sunday night and the Mrs said my legs are freezing-Ya mine too.
-10C outside doing 60 mph = Yup the legs are getting a cold draft.
She hits the button to recirculate the interior air.
Problem solved
Hit the exterior button-windchill

Problem: Mouse has chewed a hole through the vent pipe allowing the cold air to freely travel in.
Not looking forward in taking the dash all apart this spring to mend this problem.

ladder to get in attic with is out in the pole barn.

We had a respectable acorn crop for a change. Should be a boom in the mice population.
Visit the bird feeders for desert.
Nest in the grill.

I’ve had to take the dash apart in more than one car because they get in there and nest in the heater vents or blower and then die in there and smell it all up. Not fun.

I’ve also had them chew through the wiring under the hood before, which causes all kinds of fun things.

Destructive little varmints.

When we lived at rodent city Dunolly we kept the rats out of the ceiling by spraying surface spray for roaches and spiders each time we heard them up there. Empty the whole can. They hate it, its a known fact it gives them convulsions.

We went through around 9 kilos of rat and mouse bait in Scumolly (Dunolly) in 18 months. There were too many for traps. I found rats starting to make a nest under the bonnet, hood, of my car, they would get in the house, the roof, you'd see them running in and out of the bushes in the garden during the day. Poison baits was the only option. The rats were cunning too. Never got 1 single rat in a trap, dozens and dozens of mice but never a rat. Tomcat was the best brand, some stuff they wouldn't touch at all. Tomcat was weatherproof too.
But your all organic with your farming aren't you so you don't use baits?

But your all organic with your farming aren't you so you don't use baits?

Problem with poison is it doesn't stop with killing the intendant vermin. It dies out in the open, a bird of prey takes it-then there's another death.
YouTube has a dude killing rats with 3 simple ingredients.
Sugar, baking soda, corn meal. 1/3 for each.
I set these traps around the house, and in the shop. I see dead mice just laying around so it works.
But I need to get the ones that love the outside vehicles.

Now you might of known this as you are in the know of many subjects,
But mice and rats can't fart-so they eat the mixture and can't fart, basically the guts are toast they die.

Any other animal eating them is no problem.

Setting a rat trap-bait it for 4 nights in a row then set it. One dead rat.

Drop the poison, the other is cheaper and safer.

Pull chain light switch in the attic jammed. What fun doing the hula on one leg at the top of the ladder tugging on the string. I finally just unscrewed the bulb a ways.

Peanut butter on two traps and Tom -Cat liquid bait on two others.
