I painted my shed & watched it dry. Much more exciting than hockey! I know it is a big deal for the US.

Chilli...never dealt with rodents in biblical sized proportions before...sounds
like something out of a 1950's B grade sci-fi movie. Also heard that at one time
there was a huge feral cat problem in Australia...too bad you couldn't get the
two of them together.

I don't like poison due to how it kills, and how it can affect so many critters
heading up the food chain. In your case, some creativity from the land owners
might have helped, as there are ways to build "mass destruction" traps that
kill humanely and can hold a a couple hundred mice, or more.

We never had it this bad, but this happens in our district.
When you see them in numbers during the daytime like we did there it calls for drastic measures, because at night you can multiply the numbers by a hundred.

Friend had too many mice in his boat storage garage. We found one had fallen in a container of waste motor oil.

I Fixed up a bucket for him.
Used a board for a ramp.
I put about a 1/4 inch strip of peanut butter around the can. Wrote "no step" on it in a couple places.
My friend put anti freeze in the bucket like some hunting camps do in the off season.( Understanding no pets allowed in the garage applied.)

I quoted you in my earlier reply so you would know it was the "Biltmore Estate", which I thought everyone has heard of, it is in North Carolina just outside of Asheville.
