As a

Delivery guys, how many times I get a package that has "do not bend" all over it and its bent in two and stuffed in the letter slot iv lost count. The moron generation.

I came across a fishing lure I made back in 2000. There's I think by memory 1.2 g of gold. Was back when this was about as expensive as a decent diving lure roughly 20 to 25 bucks in our money.
It swims quite well. You can see I tuned it by snipping a bit off the top section.
It came about as it's well known gold colour in lures for trout are really good. Another reason was a story, true from my late father, about someone I think he met when checking the gut of a trout to see what they've been feeding on found a small piece of gold in its gut along with bugs. We always used to do that to see what they're eating. Probably saw it shining in the gravels and ate it.
So anyway I made a gold nugget lure. I tried it a few times but didn't catch anything, but I didn't catch anything with my other lures on those days either. I feel if a big trout saw it, it would have gone for it.
At these prices though its not going to be used again. Might be the most expensive trout lure around 😄
Wish id caught one though at the time.

Time to fish worms in the backwaters and slackwater areas on the edge of the flow. 👍

Yep...blown out..no fishing today. Hopefully, a couple cold nights and it should
clean up and come back into shape.

I can also see that your locals don't have a great deal of respect for signs..

Sat in truck two hours at the veterinarians office before going in to interrupt the ladyfriend and staff..
Got our dog back.

Poor dog.
He finally laid down after eating .
A good couple days will save him from a major transfusion.

Transplants, bums and A holes destroy everything, if we catch them.... we no longer have to worry about them ! I have been here since 1969 a real local !!
