We can drive up one of the many rivers (playtime) and get in to the 70's-80's within a few miles.... unless your working.

Why do I wait till the end of the day to start working a chainsaw I haven't a clue.🤣
Excavator needs to walk over them to dig a trench around the barn.
I'll put a drainage tile in (Big O).
Going remove 72 ft of sheeting OSB 4 ft from bottom.
Do a exploration of what needs to be done.
repair.
Cement board 2ft along the bottom, then blue skin between the Cement and up the board.
Respect the other 2ft. House wrap the whole building, enlarge the 2 front windows, put 2 larger ones in the rear.
Get it all ready for board and baton siding.

Greetings on a Tues. morning....

For the past 10 days the local native tribes have been running their noisy-assed
boats up and down the river 24/7....less than 100' from my bedroom windows. It's
Sockeye season, and they get their fair share.

A 2-stroke outboard with a jet pump on it is freakin' loud...I could use a good
nights (or days) sleep.

The nearby riverbank residents greet the early predawn jetboats screams as they blast by on plane with about the same enthusiasm as you.

Why not drift downstream remains a mystery.
And as to having to be going at full throttle , a salmon heading upstream really isn't going so fast you can't catch up with it.

They drift their nets downstream, then pull in the nets and use the power
to go back upriver and do it all over again.

Ya that's a whole nother deal.

History had weirs ect. for pulling fish.
One river in my state is closed to fishing in the area when a weir is being used for egg/milt take. Then opened after hatchery quota is filled.

Here's some weir mention. And belief/attitude towards spawning fish.

It happens down here also.
The Yurok Tribe uses traditional and modern gill nets to catch Salmon and Sturgeon on the Klamath river. The tribe manages these harvests closely. They protect green Sturgeon populations by limiting fishing times and returning mature fish to the water to reproduce.
