Spent yesterday rebuilding the carbs on this 1984 Honda Nighthawk I picked up cheap last week.

Got it from the widow of the original owner. It sat several years since his death.
Never garaged...always kept in the kitchen! 😳
Only 9k miles on the clock.

It was a booger getting these out!

I've set 4 traps in the shop, 3 in the garage, 2 in the Tundra (still stinks like a dead mouse), 1 in the dump trailer hydraulic box, 1 in the side by side.
Still need another in the Honda, Mazda, and in the dump truck.
I haven't looked in the cab of the Ford 5000, scared to even see. 🤣

Last years acorn crop cheered on the mouse production.
Squirrels are cutting green acorns this week.
Not common for us to have back to back mast production years here.

New dog has her head in the air sniffing if a mouse is around the grill on the deck.
She checks the stair posts too ( where they probably climb up).

I finally got around to counting my pocket change from the last 2 years. All of it in an overfilled, one-pint glass dish. Turns out to be almost $100! I just wish some of it was silver, but alas!

Yesterday's lake hunt results weren't even worth posting on "Today's Finds".
This has been my worst summer yet for precious metals.
Another fake Cartier-style bracelet. 🤣

Now there's a product I wish I'd have invented.

Came out in 1973, and aside from removing the "flame adjustment wheel", they
haven't changed a bit since inception. None of the "new and improved", etc., just
a product that is pretty much trouble free and works well.

Genius....

The sprawling property is named Mandalay, and it sits hidden away on Highway 2, perfectly positioned right between the front and back ferry launches to Howe Island.
While Julius Sämann himself passed away in 1999, the estate was built by his family and the Sämann / Car-Freshner Corp. empire between 2006 and 2009. It serves as a fascinating physical monument to the massive wealth generated by those little hanging cardboard trees:

• The Mansion: It is a massive, three-story custom brick home boasting roughly 20,000 square feet of lavish living space, designed by Ottawa custom builder Gordon Weima.
• The Land: The house sits on a massive 100-acre lot overlooking the water.
• The Front Gate: Because the family fiercely guards their privacy, the house is heavily fenced off and almost impossible to see from Highway 2. However, it features what locals and tour boats note as one of the most ostentatious, grand front gates along the entire river.
• The "Piney" Legend: Because of its connection to the "Little Trees" fortune, passing boat tours out of Kingston and Gananoque regularly point it out to tourists—joking that the property must smell like Royal Pine!
