The house and it's contents are just things and are replaceable. The irreplaceable things - you kid's lives - are safe. Its a tragedy but it could have been a lot worst. Our thoughts are with you.

I will echo all these gret Tnetters. I am so sorry to that this has happened to your son! I am very glad to hear that everyone is unhurt and safe. Glad to hear that the cats are ok too.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I guess this is when having a caring family, friends and community really does make a big difference. In the long run those are the things that matter so much more than material things.

Just saw this post. I'm very sorry about the loss, Ron. Thank God we're just sorry about property and not lives, human or animal... I too have wondered what it would be like if everything I owned would be lost in a fire. It's one of those things that you just can't get your head around unless you live through it.

Don't take this as trite - that's not how it's intended, but something positive will come out of this. It's good to know that his family is there for him in this time of need!

Thanks Neil, Snow and all of the other LOYAL AND CARING TNET FAMILY MEMBERS We just had some items brought to us from my Daughter in law work place. She works at a Dr's office. He gave her 300 and a bunch of clothing donated by the clinic. My son works a a Correctional facility and the stuff is being collected by Staff member, the Red Cross, the City of Marysville and complete strangers . I don't know where we are going to put all of this stuff until they settle down and find another place to live. I am speechless, exhausted as we moved by hand tons of debris today looking for salvageable items. We just have a short time as the insurance people moved in and the wrecking people are ready to move in and remove the debris.

Sorry to hear of the loss to your family. The good thing was that the cats survived and so did your family. The rest can be replaced with time and money. It happened to me a few years ago and it took a few years to recover but things worked out good in time......jim

Very sorry for your son's and his family's loss.

At the very least, thank god that they weren't at home.

Hopefully, they will be able to bounce back quickly. Right now, it will take some time to get over the shock of their loss.

Another post before I take my exhausted but to bed. Another long day, but better than Friday. Have more digging Sun. Still allot of items to recover/salvage. The good news today was the finding of my son's other precious partner, REGGIE. What a hero he was. To survive bitter cold, water, heat and smoke and the sudden loss of his home. Got up to 27. Felt warm to me after being -15 on Thusday and Friday night. I'll keep you guys in my prayers to for all of the moral support. I will be adding some pictures of my son and wife and cats, just so you can see. This may sound silly, but I am an animal lover. Thanks and goodnight Ron

We are all very thankful everyone is safe!! The house and the belongings can be replaced, but the lives can't. I have said this alot in past few weeks, every time a door closes a better one opens, I'm sure the same will happen for your son and his family.
