This is the thread to talk about whatever on. Getting to know people. I don't much care for eating largemouth but smallies are a different story. I love crappie patties though.

hey hey Ben
this IS a thread for hobbys and way of life.....i think the best thread and i thank you for the idea of starting it
and yup smally's and biggies are prolific here in ND..along w/walleye, sauger, saugeye(walleye-sauger hybrid which does not reproduce), northern pike, all panfish and HUGE rainbow trout (5-15 lbs) and king salmon(fisherman's paradise) & tons of catfish
ND is an artifact and sportsman's paradise pheasant, grouse , ducks, lesser and jumbo canadian geese by the hundred's of thousands and.........deer, antelope, etc,..etc......

thanky benny you's a good person

Thank you Steve. Means a lot. We are getting ready for the big stripers to move through. Just catch and release for a while but so much fun. Once there's a limit we only keep 18 to 24s and its good eating. Best top water in the world. They will pull your kayak up river. Hope this post makes it to 300. Can't wait to see all you 2013 finds!!

Ben same here. I use binoculars in my boat and watch the surface and when they school and push up the shad I race over to them. The dams tail waters are good also. Sometimes I use a fly rod yee haaa other times I will have 3 or 4 rods ready and hook one set the rod on the deck put my foot on it and catch another and stand on that one. You can also run a crank bait under the schools and pick up large mouths and smallies. I love to fish and tournament fished for many years. We have areas designated as trophy areas only for small mouth. I love summer time top water with buzz baits and zara spooks. Exciting when they blow up on them. I have my boat charging as we speak.

Top water is my favorite. We get below the dam with Zara spooks and just about any other large popper and slam the stripers. I've caught monster smallies thinking I was bringing a striper on topwater. We do that I when it warms up in a like 6 weeks. Right now we are getting ready to break out the bigger rods and catch the sows heading up river. Catch an release but I've seen them 60 lbs. fun times.

This is me doing the other thing I like to do best...spending time with my family. I'm the funny looking one on the right. :hello:

Great to see all you guys and gals, lots of hunters all over this great nation,Larson maybe one day you can come down here to florida, we can do some hunting and then you can teach me how to play this thang! Been trying now for 35 yrs, its time someone showed me how!My baby,1944 Gibson J-45 Banner headstock.

i really like your banner gibson
all those banner Gibsons were made at the factory in Kalamazoo Michigan
they were built by a group of twenty women
there were no men helping build them
they are fantastic guitars!

the banner says 'only a gibson is good enough'

soon after Epiphone guitar company started putting a banner on their guitars that said 'when good enough is not enough'
gibson was not happy so Epiphone told them "if you quit putting those on yours then we will stop also"

i think that baby has some ferocious mojo........when i see all that great playing wear it tells me that it sounds great which is why it has all that playing wear...or..it sounds great CUZ it got played a lot

Honestly I haven't even heat treated yet. I assume ill get some smaller points from them but it will be a while. Hoping this house sells soon. We have a showing today. Thanks again.

Good luck on the showing. You are getting activity and that is good. Maybe an offer will come from it.

Yeah I'm hoping. Showings have picked up since the end of January. By the way to anyone who follows my posts the biopsy came back benign. Yeah!
