Gold heading for $5,000 ?

I hate to tell you I told you so, but I told you so. No way was gold going to 5k and silver to $100 right now. Supply and demand always wins. The higher it goes, the more people sell and then there's a glut in the market.

They are throwing lots of paper contracts onto the market to drop the price. Last Friday had the big smash and gold broke a new high on Monday.

We will see 2-4% swings for a while until the fraudulent paper market goes away.

There is a metal shortage at the retail level developing.
Retail shops been working the phones with suppliers to source products. There is no platinum coins or bars left to buy on the Westcoast of BC.

You have to keep the big picture in view.

about a dozen days like today and it will be worth 50 bucks...........😱

Why stop a $5000. ? If a depression hits our Country the value of gold could go through the roof BUT who could afford it then while we all would be in food lines and out of work !

Listening to a business report the question was asked about the recent largest dip.
Was it a dip or is it tanking.

The economy isn't doing well, and the markets are not really confident either.

Just a dip.
It's going to go back up as it tested the highs this past week.
Though commodities will be going down.

Gold under $4000 now and silver under $47 an ounce. If you're looking to sell, do it now or you'll be holding it for years to get back to these prices.

FBT...
Its called a "dip".... this is normal.... when it dips,,, this is when the buys start again.

Wrong. It's crashing now. I warned you guys. I've watched the price of silver being manipulated for many years. I know what I'm talking about. All the markets are corrupt and rigged.

...ever notice how markets respond to Trumps tariff talk? You know folks in the know have already bought low and are poised to make a killing after each announcement.

I think that folks who want to make a fast buck out of doing nothing, except investing a few $$$, are better suited to crypto...
Freebird has a point,, it is all rigged... but the whole game is rigged, not just precious metal markets... the whole darn thing, warts and all !....... T
We are the currency in this game of control... we are the commodity that is bought and sold... A prison without visible bars... Gold , Silver , Diamonds etc... it is all a scam, perceived scarcity,, the belief that something has a value because it is rare.. how rare is it really ?
This is where the rigging really happens,, control of the flow to the market/consumer,, there are well documented areas of inland Southern Africa where diamonds litter the roadside.... scarce.

Wakey wakey...

It's a 45 minute video interview. Most of the segment is on silver and what is happened and where it's going.
Basically the paper is still being poured onto the market. The physical silver is not balanced between the LME-COMEX.

You might wonder who this Robert Gottlieb actually is, and is he worth his salt

He states that this run is different from the previous one (pandemic). The central banks have a 5 yr position on buying gold. They hold 18% of all gold that ever has been produced.
There's alot of uncertainty because of the tarriffs around the world.
China and India are major players in buying.

Basically the gold aspect is explained in the first 10 minutes, then silver is explained.

Central banks are gold, institutions are silver when it comes to purchasing.

Crypto ? ? ?
So.... you think investing into air is better ?
No thanks... I personally would never invest into that REAL scam that with a keystroke could be gone.
I would much rather invest in something i can hold in my own hands.

Besides... you should understand... investing into Silver and Gold is NOT a making money thing.
If you are buying metals to make money you are buying it for the wrong reasons.
Metals are a hedge... mainly against inflation.
Paper does nothing but loose value.

Also... If you want to make money buying metals... you need to buy it by the pallet when low... and sell soon after with a rise... then repeat.... and repeat.... and repeat.... and repeat.... and repeat...... and...........so on.

That was sort of my point guys.... Crypto is for people who don't mind taking part in a ponzi/pyramid whilst metals (perceived scarcity included) is a safe(r) place to put money...
I have held physical metals for some decades now,, fully aware of how it works..

I like how you describe metals as NOT money making.. then go on to describe how to make money from it ..... ahh the irony.
Plus i have done very well, more than doubled the value across the various metals held...

Metals in MOST scenarios is not "making money.
There is no irony.
If you bought a 20 gold piece in the 1920's....
It has the same value in money today.

I dont consider making a few hundred dollars on an ounce of gold "making money".

I consider making 10;s of thousands or hundreds of thousands on metals making money.
And to do that... you better buy a crapload.

Anything other than that you are just securing money.

The problem I have always had with gold is what can you exchange it for? "I need some bread, can you break a $4,000 gold ounce bar?" (And, after flashing it, you get rolled in the alley outside the bakery). I have a bunch of Liberty (Mercury) dimes that even at melt value are worth $3. When SHTF they will hold some value. Easy for exchange. A bunch of Morgans, again, worth $30 in exchange. A shitload of .22 LR and 9mm that are worth . . . how despirate are you? . . . in exchange.

When speaking of a SHTF situation you are absolutely correct.
Incremental / fractional small metals are better than larger ones for small payments and or barter.
One ounce sizes and larger would be for larger payments... respectively.
This is and always has been how coinage has always worked since its conception... and would not change.

The thing that many anti metal buyers fail to see is...
Metals have a basis of value... whereas other forms of payment do not.
You cannot value something like a paper tender without something backing it.
And you definitely cannot value something digital that only exists on a screen...
which is only backed by the security of someone's else's website and their actions or lack of.
AND in the "SHTF" situation... The very basic availability of electricity and reliable connections... which can rely on countless factors... which the lack of any one of which will keep you broke.

If you do not own some metals... or other forms of barter... you own nothing in the possible "SHTF" scenario grand scheme.
