Just another warning about the Caballos.

If you are driving up something you think might be a road and you see what looks like a log buried in the dirt
across the road,

stop

Park somewhere safe get out and walk up to the log and look at how deep the cables cut into the log.
Next look over the hill and marvel at the 200' vertical drop on the backside of the log.

Hey whiskeyrat !!
Thanks for the info !!

If you find any maps of New Mexico that have "Nuestra Senora de los Dolores de Las Vegas Grandes" on it,
lemme know.
The families of the older (1600's) settlers in the area tell a legend of a system of tunnels and natural caves
that run from there to "La Villa de la Santa Fe San Francisco de Assisi" through (not around) the mountains.
Problem is no body knows where it starts on either end.

Good evening Watchers

We have in this Episode of our program , a new Discovery , Much Dinero Cave in the Organ Mountains of Don Ana County
New Mexico .

Alas , the Cave was not filled with bags of Spanish Doubloons as the Locals claimed it would be .

No , sorry folks , The Cave held nothing more than Empty Air , just as all the old Legends hold ,,, NOTHING !

Ok , we gotta run ,,, we got BLT Sandwiches to scarf on , hope all your Gold Pans ,,, grow colors bright and shiny .
