Let's See Everyones Best Personal Finds

(I was asked to show some of my older pieces so I'm going to bump up a few of my posts so they can see them rather than post them again)

I saw on another post where bblaha had asked about my best find so I thought I start a thread so everyone could post theirs as well.

So here's a few of my best personal finds. Now let's see yours.

Yes I am. It's Valentine, like the holiday.

Nice to be of your acquaintance. I've looked up to you since the Internet came about. I've read an interview that you did also. You, in my opinion are as close to an expert as we have on these prehistoric finds. If you don't mind my asking, why do you agree that this piece is made of turtle shell?

First, let me say thank you for the kind words. I really appreciate that.

As for that piece, I have said this many times. It is really hard to get a great ID off of anything from just a picture, but with that being said your piece just looked like Turtle Shell in the pictures you posted. If I actually held it in my hand I might change my opinion on it.

I agree pictures can tell one a lot of nothing at times. Other times, totally opposite !

lots of pretty stuff
gotta love that banded slate piece........but i like it all.......keep it coming

Double flute

If I had to pick one, this is probably my best flint piece.
I found it on a sub-soil pile, at a new house location. Bicycle tracks and little foot prints all over the pile, and there it was, fully exposed in all it's glory.
2 3/8 " long, fluted on both sides, after 40 years of hunting it's my best.

that is super ferocious! i would like to see the other side please?

wonder if there is anything else in that area?

Yeah...I should have sifted the pile. A lot of large broken pieces.....coshocton county ohio, walhonding river, great paleo spot.
other side pic came out blurry. Full flute as well.
