🥇 BANNER Silver Busted today!

Went out today and dug this on the very first hole. Was in an area where dirt had been pushed over an embankment. I think this may be one of the best coins I have ever dug. Ive dug a lot of large cents us and colonial but not many old US silvers. I'll take it !
Any guesses on what you think it would grade?

Half Dollar. Its denomination is stamped on the edges.

You sound pretty calm in your post -" may be one of the better coins I've found " I'm thinkin more like good luck ever finding anything remotely as amazing as that ! As to condition - I think this would grade XF easily ! Probably close to $2000. dollar value .I've seen a few DB silvers on here , but I don't remember one that could touch yours in terms of condition ! Get excited (then get a safe deposit box) Banner !

I would get it slabbed, I voted banner, I'd get it slabbed just to protect it. I dug a Seated Dime that I sent in to NGC, It did not cost too much and it did not come back with a "environmentally damaged" or "improperly cleaned" label.

Be careful if you take it to a dealer, don't let it out of your sight. I would not be surprised to see a grade of AU 50 or better

Unbelievable find, Congrats! That beauty looks like it just fell off the mint truck! In PA, you guys have access to some great old coins! Found my only large cent in PA years ago.

Prob a $2-3k coin as other said, once again do not clean it at all. Don't touch the front or back, let PCGS or NGC conserve it if it needs cleaned. They can do it without dropping the value, if it gets hairline scratches on it from rubbing it can cut the value in half.
