Ben,

"Somehiker if you truly are interested in the artifacts do not let other people think for you and do the hard work of reading Mr. Bent`s work, familiarizing yourself with the specifics of the dig and approach this with an open mind. Anyone can quote sources as Mr. Ribaudo has proven, but an understanding of the dig would lead you to the obvious position that Mr. Killick`s conclusions were nonsense."

I have gone to great lengths and expense to gather as much information on the Tucson Artifacts as possible. I have studied it all, much of it several times. Just so you know, Paul returned the McGee letters and the Bent Manuscript to me. I won't be going through the material again.

I do enjoy seeing you attack me personally, as all the things you have accused me of, you are guilty of. All I have done, is provide the proof for what I have written. If that makes me a bad person, I am willing to live with it and let others be the judge. In truth, as you know, I have held back much of that proof.

Oz, like your many identities, only exists in you imagination. Not saying that there is not a place in the Superstitions that you are claiming to be Oz, just that it is just another cave of little historical importance.

Good luck in trying to get past the truly knowledgeable people who post here. It's always just been a test to see if the story could fly on its own......right?

Travis,

Are you saying that no real information passes between the members here?

Just got out of the hospital today, so I doubt any meaningful information will come from this keyboard. I am having a hard time, just sitting here.

Good Luck,

Joe

Joe,

Sorry to hear about your recent surgery. I hope that you have a speedy recovery so you can keep up the good work.

Have a great day!

Joe

I wasn't implying that at all. One just has to sift through a lot of "my mine is bigger than your mine" to get to the info. Obviously I still read the posts on here.

Hope you have a speedy recovery. As ornery as you are, I doubt it will keep you down long!

Thanks
Travis

Ellie and Travis,

Thanks for the kind words. Actually, I had pneumonia and it finally culminated in a trip to the ER, which turned into a vacation in the hospital.

What I was trying to say, was there would be little energy coming through my computer for awhile. I just don't feel like doing much competing right now. :censored:

I will try to be a bit more combative as I get better. I realize I do have a reputation to uphold.:laughing7:

Take care,

Joe

Paul,

Hope all is well with you and Connie. Seems like Old Man Winter is overstaying his welcome.

Just wondering how you're doing with the Bent Manuscript. I found it to be interesting reading, but liked the McGee letters as well. Went through most of it, a couple of times, but was not convinced any of it pertained to the Superstitions.

Take care,

Joe

cactusjumper,
Can you tell me anything about the Palmer mine? Anything. I have found a Palmer, John (alias) Waltz, Jacob R and was wondering if they were in some way connected. Anyway, feel better. Thank you!

Hal,

I don't know a lot about the Buckhorn mine, but would point you in a more knowledgeable direction:

http://www.ajpl.org/aj/superstition/stories/Palmer Story.pdf

If you would like to know more on the history of Dr. Palmer, I would recommend "Doctor On Horseback". While it tells you a great deal abut the good doctor, it reveals nothing about his mine.

Good luck,

Joe

Hi

I want to add something .

The stones map , haven't any conection with the Tucson artifacts ( in my opinion ) . The stones map shows only the Peralta mine . The trail , in the stones map starts in the middle of Hieroglyphic Canyon as says the clue " The first gorge on the south side, from the west end of the range ” and go east . After , the trail turns to the north and pass above the Weavers Needle at the eighth " lugar " . All the " lugares " matches with a circular shape of the ground . The ' lugares " had not incidentally chosen by the author , but had chosen to show the region of the mine . The region of the mine look like a " Hoyo " or like a " Vulture nest "

BTW , the only connection between the Peralta mine and Rhoda is how are close each other .

Have a nice day

Marius

starman 1,

A modern (early 1900's) date of creation on objects such as the Tucson Artifacts and the Stone Map Cipher would not necessarily indicate a hoax. Any scientific analysis (in my untrained opinion) would only offer a possible date and means of creation. Beyond that, it is the objects message that needs to be scrutinized. What is it that the author is telling us and why is that information important? I think that the story that you are struggling to tell is a fantastic one and worthy of telling, but if it is your goal to be published, and I believe that you wrote that it was, here you will need to rethink your approach. I have had quite a few manuscripts pass through my hands and very few ever made it to print. If one is luck enough to land a follow-up meeting with any creditable publisher, you, the author will need to be prepared to answer some very direct questions. Here is where the publisher will either back you or drop you like a sack of dirt. Even if a story is compelling, and unique, no publisher will endorse someone who is not marketable (trustworthy if you like). It is simply too risky an investment and the pressure to turn profit too great to back someone who falls apart under questioning or proves to be "sensitive". Why am I taking the time to tell you this? Well, I want everyone to realize their dreams and goals, and as I said, your story is worthy of telling. So, when your ideas are challenged, avoid the impulse to defend yourself with criticism of your questioners. Simply respond with what you believe to be fact and avoid singling out any one person for reprisal. While I am no expert on all things "Dutchman" related, I will tell you that I have a small advantage when it comes to the Stone Map Cipher. A very small advantage. Have another look at somehiker's last post. In my humble opinion, it is one of the most insightful that can be found on this thread. Even if he and I are married in disagreement.

Hello my friend, I understand that everyone wants to see the code broken but like you once told me that maybe the only way they will beleive is by showing the gold.
Many have been searching and trying to break the codes for many years. Others snarl at the mention of peralta stones. I think because people mix the pot and have the ps and sm being one.they are different but they are both real in my opinion.
There is now proof that the DUTCHMAN is real.to find it one would have to search differently as I have mentioned many times.I showed one treasure site where I discribed everything except where to enter.it wasn't on its own thread and many made use of it but burried it by discussing other subjects and others couldn't believe what they were seeing, completely ignoring it.
I will put a thread and see if anyone can figure out where the treasure tunnel entry is.
I will also put a thread with my findings of the numbers 1847 and devuldge their true meaning. I'm sorry if some don't believe but I will leave it up to the reader to accept or reject my findings.
TAKE CARE MY FRIEND

I always wonder why it is important to some people, that others "believe" them. Is that not, after all, the Modus Operandi of a con artist? If someone wants to share helpful knowledge and facts, then why not also post the confirmable evidence which supports it, in order for it to be truely helpful?

In addition, there are those who insist that nobody would ever post actual, new, verifiable facts which they discovered about the Lost Dutchman Mine, because no treasure hunter would give away information which would help other treasure hunters, and thereby possibly cause the poster to loose out on a valuable recovery. But those people are thus defining this forum as merely a hangout for swindlers.

Those who do post information sources, to back up their theories, should be thanked graciously.

And those who demand belief, and scorn the "non-believers," are always under suspicion. But that is so obvious that I wonder why they even waste their own time?

Be patient . Patience is the greatest virtue .

Maybe the curtain to fall here , or in the others own threads , and if the artist play real , will seen in the applause .

In the most cases , if provoke , is not the easier method to learn the truth . With the poor words , can't get the rich results . If you " hunt " my posts , maybe someday to get what you looking for .
