We had a surprise visit last night about 6:30 or so a knock on the door and turns out it was our mayor out lobbying with her hubby for reelection.

I was busy chowing down on supper so I passed and the missus showed her around the garden that she oohed and awed about....lol.

#1 for me roger is get ready for 40 mph storm.....Fred started last night with a wicked lighting and thunder event....somehow the smoke alarm went haywire in the middle of this lightning storm....add a blaring alarm with the thunder and we were all up running around !!

Off to pick some crab apples in a park for jelly both sweet and hot. This p.m. another batch of home brewed beer to bottle.

Any triskaidekaphobiacs out there?

2 times I have found 1733 treasure coins on Friday the 13th....one time it was not only Friday the 13th, but was also my wife's birthday !! What are the odds....another time was the exact anniversary of the date the treasure was lost and the ships sank !! Traditionally for me Friday the 13th is extra lucky for me,....so I might try something somewhere !!

Happened to us at 2 am. on Monday morning, the humidity was so thick it set off the detector.
Squacking-FIRE! FIRE! Strobe light a flashing-2 cats a fleeing, one German Shepard in full attack bark mode.

The Mrs turned on the air conditioning and closed the windows, I rolled over and went ZZzzzzzzzz.......
