Hear them called monkey wrenches.
They vary in design but the top jaws are similar.
This one found online has a notch to stop advancement when full close is arrived at. Perhaps less jamming and more monkeying around.

Morning all, annnd it's still raining, couldn't take my nephew dirt fishing yesterday cause it was pouring down all day, grandson's birthday today turns 16, won't be long he will have his drivers license and be askin to take the 34 for a drive, dang that's going to be a tough one telling him no, not for awhile, anyway a birthday means cake today, yuuumy!!! So it's off to church now and yep I'm taking my coffee with me. Coffee I never leave home without it!!
