This guy was at the beach yesterday with this detector in the surf. No scoop, mask, snorkel, etc. I couldn't figure out how he expected to find or retrieve anything. He was at it quite awhile.

Shakespeare are ok reals. Iv had a couple of those over the years. Their Ugly Sticks rods are pretty legendary. I used to fish with an old guy for redfin, he was 90yrs old, hilarious guy. He'd get snagged on a rock and id be cringing watching him bend it past the point my rods would have snapped.
Iv always said, as far as the fish are concerned it all boils down really to what's on their end of the line not yours.

It is possible that he thinks with every beep his detector is physically attracting and picking up an actual target which he later thinks he will retrieve from inside the control box. We had a customer one day ask the boss how to open the detector to retrieve the nuggets it had picked up. 😂
