Evenin' all, hoping it was a great day!
An ol gal showed that.
Might have been on a HVAC service co. commercial; of all things.
Almost had a trifecta of good luck doing chores today, almost.
Today's to do list was:
Fix AC condenser fan not coming on,
Lathe has been getting noisy and rumbling a tad,
Drill press noisy and rumbling a tad (that's a tad too many things with the same problem
)
1st - opened up the condenser to see what start capacitor it might need as that's pretty common. Noticed a common wire had come off the main contactor. Lucky strike #1
2nd - trying to narrow down the problem with the lathe I first removed the drive belt and turned the motor on to see if that was it. The step pulley was loose on the shaft. Oh Kevin, you lucky dog you!
3rd - the drill press didn't turn out so easy. Main spindle bearings were shot. Complete disassembly, and now have to find bearings.
Oh well, two out of three ain't bad!
