The transformer is worth $.67 a pound. Then the #2 insulated copper. As a complete unit the asking price is $25 it seems.
The tubes could be the hidden $$$ in old radio devices.
Then again selling parts is a long game.

The thing is the CB craze was 60 yrs ago and continued for a couple of decades.
I know In the mid 70s my handle was Bottle Digger.🤣
I know a few ham operators still, licenced and a couple that have no microphone attached.

My handle was Radio Tokyo and I would play the most crazy songs that I had in my collection and give insane news reports and stuff. I used to have people try to track me down, I had two antenna, one perfectly swered in and the other purposely not so I would constantly switch between them to make the signal stronger or weaker in an effort to confuse them 😂 Id use all different voices and accents too.
Man I loved those CB days. Others maybe not so me 🤣

Machetes are now officially banned in our state of Victoria as of this month.
They are the go to weapon of the Sudanese gangs here. They're completely out of control and there are violent home invasions, attacks and murders every day by them using machetes. The Govt set up an amnesty (wishful thinking) and placed machete hand in bins all around the major cities and towns. The attacks have actually increased since that and have had zero effect upon it all. They're insane, have zero respect and are ultra violent. My younger sister is a youth worker down in Melbourne, the crime capital, and she says we are lucky to hear 10% of what actually goes on down there as the Govt pressures the media and police to suppress it all. She says they are off the chart violent running rampage. I don't know how she does that job. She's a tough little cookie but I worry about her safety.

Welcome to the insanity of weapon control. Here it's guns, there it's machetes, but the problem is the same. Banning the weapon is a nonsensical approach when you're talking about someone who is already using it to break many laws. Do they really think the criminal will care if there's one more law on his list? As with all such laws, it only hurts law abiding citizens. (And it's even more insane with edged weapons. You could improvise a machete very quickly if you needed to.)

Banning the weapon is a nonsensical approach when you're talking about someone who is already using it to break many laws. Do they really think the criminal will care if there's one more law on his list? As with all such laws, it only hurts law abiding citizens. (And it's even more insane with edged weapons. They are emboldened to do these home invasions for a number of reasons.
One being our gun laws. Our law is that if you own a gun it must be kept in a locked steel safe with the ammo kept separate. Imagine trying to get everything together whilst someone has just broken in whilst you and your family are asleep.
Another is that the police do random checks to see if you are keeping them locked away and the ammo separate. If not you lose your license and are in big trouble. They can rock up any time without notice and must be allowed in immediately.
So the rats know that they will be met with no real threat to themselves when they break in and they will have the upper hand weapons wise.
For a time our gun control looked like it was successful but as time has gone on its come back to bite us hard and people in many places are living in fear.
Like you said, the crims couldn't care less about the laws and those laws are making their crimes actually easier to commit. 🫤

It's bad enough when they pass gun laws, then only the criminals will have guns leaving the law abiding citizens with only machetes to defend their homes...IF they can get the drop on the home invader with a gun, but then they pass a machete law so now only criminals will have machetes and the guns, basically leaving the law abiding citizens with nothing but a stick to defend their homes, I guess next they'll ban sticks!!!

Do you cook? Nothing beats a good chef's knife. Do you have wood heat? A hatchet makes a dandy tool for that. Do any farming or gardening? A hand sickle is great for that. Got any home repairs? Hammers are great for that. Mechanic? Long handled crescent wrenches give great leverage. And it's hard to ban those things. (Though I suppose they could start requiring background checks and a waiting period to buy a hammer.)

Luckily I don't have to worry about it at this time, I have both guns and a machete, at least for now!!

My post was trying to make a point of banning something that makes it harder for good citizens to protect themselves, and impossible to keep those banned items out of the hands of criminals

I know. I was thinking more of those in other jurisdictions who are under heavier restrictions.
