What's new

latest gas prices

Gas in middle of Oregon is still holding at $4.49. Diesel at around $6.80

I usually get mine at an Arco, but including Arco and other stations reg varies from $4.09 - $4.49. Premium which my SxS takes is about $6.

some flake on FB this morning said by FRIDAY it will be 2.49gal! didnt say what planet he"s from!!!
The price is not holding at $4.49 per gallon is now at $4.52 and going up in Salem to Portland Oregon areas.

When you buy gas at the pump, you’re covering more than the cost of crude oil. You’re also paying for every step in the process, including refineries, wholesalers, taxes, and the markup your local gas station adds.

As of 7:30 a.m. Eastern Time today, oil is trading at $101.43 per barrel, based on the Brent benchmark

That’s $4.38 below yesterday morning’s level and about $35.50 higher than where it stood a year ago.

Well California has zero incentive to lower diesel prices. They get a percentage of the sale. They do not have to worry about career changes either. We are being fleeced till we are broke and riding electric scooters. They will only accept crude from certain places due to carbon requirements / emissions.

The bad factor in riding electric scooters / cars is the diesel fuel to power the generators for the electricity.............LOL.
There may be a push to reduce the use of diesel fuel in California.

Since Crude oil is only up about $35.00 a barrel from a year ago what are the real increases in cost at the gas / diesel fuel stations?

The cost is not a matter of importance. Switching us over to electric is the goal. Because it’s unlimited. It just comes out of the wall. Check out what has happened to Sweden which is a few years ahead of us. Look at the power price fluctuations

And what is American Crude selling at?
Brent crude became the dominant global benchmark because it is seaborne, light and sweet, qualities that make it easy to refine and easy to ship anywhere in the world, which in turn made it the natural reference point for pricing oil traded internationally.

Brent Crude is a blend of light, sweet crude oil drawn from the North Sea. It functions as the world’s primary oil benchmark, the reference price against which most internationally traded crude is bought and sold. When a central bank, government, or oil producer refers to “the price of oil,” they are almost always talking about Brent.

Because Brent is tied to seaborne oil shipments and is widely traded around the globe, it has become the dominant price marker for physical barrels of oil in international markets. Investors who want to follow movements in Brent crude prices should know that it serves as a sort of “global price tag” for oil.

American Crude is competing with this benchmark.

There is a change in the view over electric everything taking place. Yet the push goes on.
America electric grid cannot maintain or meet the demand in the current condition.
