Well there's a saying 3 times lucky, well it took four tries to get the field cut, raked and baled-after a friend bailed at the 11th hour.
Lesson one in history not remembered-DO NOT! mix $$$/business with a friendship.
What a mess it turns into and never really gets sorted out it seems.
I have to wonder why a lot of times folks just can't live up to their end of the deal agreed on?
Here sign this contract-say what you don't trust me-we're friends aren't we-gee that would be an uncomfortable conversation-so me's kicking the arse once again in life for actually mixing the two together.

Now that the weather has decided to dry up a tad we got it off, 12 acres of field produced 110 - 4x4 hardcore rounds, which will be have to be sold now (another didn't what this on the plate thing)

But now it's a few side trims with the bush hog to get the edging looking good, and a few straggler tuffs sticking up, but it's cut and under tarps now.

There's me rant of the day-and a old lesson relearnt again.

Hey all you pirates do you want/need some hay?:laughing7:

Thought i saw a UFO this morning.

But i identified it.

Was a coffee ground.

Unidentified Floating Object.

:P

Coffee ground is certainly better than a mouse turd-just saying.
Remember back when this big famous German restaurant (past due date)
A buddy wouldn't stop raving about how good it was, so I took the bait and we went for the dinner.
The waitress ( dressed the part) asked if we wanted desserts.
I said a nice piece of carrot cake and a hot cup of "fresh" coffee would be the best.
Now I will say the Coffee was made when the place opened for lunch.
The Coffee cake arrived and it had the garnishment of one fat mouse turd in the white icing on top.
Well it got sent back-though the amazing thing was she asked if I cared for anything else?:tongue3::laughing7:

Bet ya a lot of mouse-poo has been ground up in coffee factories ,at no extra charge, ever wonder why some days it tastes better than other days ?:tongue3:

Im rebuilding an old v-4 crossflow outboard engine.....ill take this 90 horse, and build it up to 130 HP....we start with .30 over pistons, custom fit115 hp intake plenum, carburetor swap, drilled exhaust can, and a bobs bullet lower unit. Since its apart ill swap some boyds reeds and valves in there for some higher RPMs !! Im gonna try and bust out some old school metal flake paint on a 1972 16-MX checkmate with cored hull and a brand new box kneed transom !! Got a nice free hydraulic jack plate and hydraulic steering !! The best part is all 3 generations of my family are working together on this one....me my son and father !!

Ok I have read many times it's OK to have a little bit of this or that in the processed foods.
So you got me thinking-and this article confirmed the coffee thought-10% of the pre-ground has bugs-like Scarface-said "Farking cockroach"
Yup-cockroaches-yum yum-lets just keep to the roasted beans folks-ew what's the smell.......

So the real question is.Does the coffee taste better w/the extras ,or without :)

Something I've always wondered is.How do they get so much HP(in a outboard) in such a SMALL package ? Say a 350 hp outboard compared to a V-8 (in a car) of equal hp.

Well for me with the 2 stroke outboards power building is a simple task of porting ,polishing, and part swaps....a 2 stroke is a very different animal !! Small package big power !!

Yeah but the price of that quicksilver is like Gold :BangHead:

It never siezed up but was not running well....it only had about 4 hours run time before the problem developed, so I have alot of new parts here already. Engine has been on a stand for 8 years now. I have to get a specialty socket to get into it deeper well see what made it fail and replace #4 piston.....I anticipate improper ring placement !!

You can see that the main bearing seal was getting salt water soaked continuely. Managed to get all the rusty bolts out. I will mount the engine on a jack plate to keep it up and out of the water. It hung on a low mako transom so the bottom of the engine was getting swamped everytime they came off plane !!

Saltwater is a killer.I sold a boat to a guy in Virginia Beach who only wanted a salt free boat.He drove all the way here 5+ hrs.one way.And drove home to VB w/the boat:)

My Dad had an old wood 31' with twin Chevy 350 in it. He sold it to one of his friends and helped him pilot it to Mobile Alabama. Well twin 350s in that hull could top out at about 30-32nmph. But, it can only cruise at about 20-25nmph and it still burns a tremendous amount of gasoline. My Dad's friend got the idea to race down the river at 30 knots, blew the engines when he burned holes through a couple of Pistons. Only made it from Lake Michigan to Puduca Kentucky.

With the diesels they put turbo chargers on them and they can be made very small and light for the horse power generated. But, they burn out fantastically quick. A naturally airspiated diesel with regular mantainence will generally be expected to run in the neighborhood of 15,000 hours. I heard of boats with twin 500hp turbo diesels where the manufacturer recommends rebuild after 600 hours!

Not just coffee, hot dogs, sausages and most other processed foods. My stepfather used to work for Lykes Brothers, went to work one day and watched hot dogs being made, I wouldnt eat hotdogs for years after.

"The document lists the allowable limits on "defects" in more than 100 foods, highlighting exactly how much rodent poop is allowed in your cocoa beans (up to 10 milligrams per pound), how many insect heads it's OK to find in the fig paste in your cookies (up to 13 in every 3.5 ounces) and how many maggots can be tunneling in your tomatoes."

Arrrrrggggg *ACK*... i think the "mammalian excreta"... aka... "rodent poop" one gets me most.

A insect leg being the least.

I mean in some countries they eat them anyway. heh
