Good morning everyone. Beautiful morning and I hope for some rain today. The sunrise was very nice this morning. You can see turtle tracks in the last pics. This has been a great year for turtles. 🐢

We would stay there years ago, check in then hit the all you could eat and drink champagne brunch. They had a great scotch selection also. I had gold claims a few miles up Patrick creek years ago also.

We would like to end the week with some great news!
We get asked about the status of Patrick Creek Lodge all the time, and it is time for an update. On Wednesday the ABC License that will allow the new owners to open the bar and restaurant FINALLY cleared escrow. Although a huge step, it will still be at least another 4-6 weeks before the permit is actually issued from the state.
Some may also not know but the land that the lodge sits on is actually leased to the Forest Service. This permit and lease has also not been easy to obtain in any manner. Another permit from the health department and the insurance. These are just the literal tip of the iceberg of hurdles that the new owners have had to jump over in taking on the historic lodge, obtaining ownership in February, and not being able to open.
So if you have been wondering and maybe even frustrated that the lodge hasn't opened, we can tell you, the new owners have been right along with you. Taking on a massive lodge that you essentially cannot operate and generate any revenue before all of these permits are all in place, is not for anyone who would not dedicate themselves fully, fighting for each step of this intense process every step of the way.
We can can assure you that the lodge we all love will be open soon, although it may seem like not soon enough, we have to be patient and continue to support not only the lodge, but also its brave new owners. You can bet Bayside will continue to be in their corner, and we know our amazing community will too!

Wait... The land it is on is leased TO the forest service? Nothing good would come of that.
Nor would I expect it to either if the land was being leased FROM the forest service.

It is the other way around in my state where hunting camps have been told your lease is up ; get out of here.

Mornin all.

Shouldn't have pushed a Farmall out of the way by hand yesterday but can't undo that not brightest idea.
Did pick up new blades for the Kubota and have neighbor available with his impact gun today.
Maybe get mowing on the hunting property tomorrow.

I love when someone says they are a “cat owner”.
They clean up after the cat, the cat doesn’t clean up after them.
They go to the cat when it calls, the cat goes to them when they call, but only if it feels like it.
They feed the cat, the cat doesn’t feed them.
If they toss the cat out they get arrested, but if the cat no longer finds the accommodations suitable they will leave without permission.
I think the cat owns them.
