Not sure how I really feel yet this morning. 17.5 yesterday going to Scarborough disassembling, packing, loading and returning. 9 hrs was a non stop (10 minutes for an apple/cheese break) affair.

Then at the very end the owner's (useless)worker says us both. "You very slow"

My guy says on the way home-"Maybe it's a language barrier"

Two possible replies:

If the worker was just watching: "We'd be faster if you were helping"

Of if the worker was actually helping: "We slowed down to not embarass the help."

I was promised a worker.
For what he did regarding his first task was a total failure.

We were instructed not to pack or touch the bench/table area around the induction furnace.
He spoke to worker for 5 minutes in Russian pointing, explaining stuff.

The owner returned to do a small melt of silver and then gold.
He looked at the bench, started at me and my guy about everything gone, packed, disturbed.

My reply: Look you told your employee what you wanted done. We never went on that side of the room, and have been on this side of the room.
(While packing up that material I knew the it wasn't going to end well)🤣
The employee was placing stuff on the table to be packed.

Sometimes brawn out powers brains.(employee reference)

The day ends with these going to a new owner ! I have taught my new sub contractor the art of finishing concrete, he picked it up fast and I would rather supervise if and when needed.

I focus on OMC motors. That leaves Mercury out. And a slew of others. Though one never knows... Plus the parts potential if I encounter a Tecumseh engined Eska to match Dad's on the cheap.

Store brands often had a variety of builders over time. without studying yea and looking up model and researching it's hard tellin who built something.
your picture shows a grip from a Western Auto store brand outboard.(?) Used to be a fun shop but pricey at my young age back when. Maybe someone just bought a new grip at the local store?

Monkey Wards had Sea Kings. But that doesn't say much.
