Oak Island Treasure Revelations

So here is where im coming from...
It seems to me that the MP would need to stay open until most if not all of the tunnel network is complete. Since it took 2 or 3 years as you estimated, than the shaft would be exposed to the rain and winter.
They could easily cover the MP shaft when it rained but the rain would still permeate down raising the water table and causing catastrophic issues.

Then you still have the catastrophic issues during the harsh winters on oak island. So how did they deal with that?
Google AI says...
A cover over an unsupported deep vertical shaft is unlikely to prevent it from collapsing under 3.8 to 6 inches of rain. While a cover prevents direct rain from entering the hole, it does not stop the saturation of the surrounding soil, which is the primary cause of collapse.

So to prevent a cave ins, the shaft would have to be filled...

Also, when exactly did they place the slopy flagstone roof on the Money Pit?

The flagstone layer i heard about was on top of a filled shaft. So was the shaft filled when they added the slopy roof?
My source was a suggestion by the late treasure hunter Dan Blankenship that the flat stones might have been laid overlapping like roofing tiles to deflect rain water, this would necessitate the use of a mound of earth to create slope.
The first and second platforms, might well have deliberately back filled to increase the protection from rain water.

Now if you want to continue to try to convince the world that the Money Pit could not possibly have been constructed without the use of cribbing, then good luck on that. I think you will find out that most people simply don't care one way or the other.

Personally speaking I consider issue this to be your own trivial pursuit, and I'm apathetic and bored with this ridiculous subject now.

A suggestion without evidence is just that a suggestion.
Besides Google AI indicates that wouldn't have helped anyway due to the ground saturation causing seepage through the wall of the shaft and collapsing.

You still haven't addressed the effects of the harsh winters on the walls without support either.

Actually, im rethinking the MP story after armchair corrected my math and gravelteeth's geologist friend's input.

It seems possible that a crew could arrive in May, dig a 100ft deep shaft without wall support, deposit a teasure, fill in the shaft and leave before the rain starts in July.

Its the theory that a group of skilled, experienced miners landed on oak island and built a network of tunnels spanning multiple rainy seasons and harsh winters and didn't know to use wall support.

Highly, Highly improbable without more convincing evidence than you've been able to provide.

BTW, im back to where i was 6 months after my study of the Dunfield Dig,
The attached diagram shows the consensus of the location of the MP and the cassons dropped by Rick and Marty.
They found nothing so either the treasure is fiction or somebody already retrieved it.

All their theories on offset chambers, blob, baby blob, garden shaft, and now a solution chamber is all fiction created for TV viewing.

I'm apathetic and bored with this ridiculous subject now.
Powerful, when they constructed this elaborate multi layered network of shafts tunnels as illustrated by your drawings in post.

Your estimation of time to dig the 1500-2000 ft from Smith's bay to the South shore of tunnels (no less than 6) Took place in a window from 1691-1699, and took 2-3 years.

Lets break this down no where has this theory been tested, nor recorded as this amazing engineering feat took place.
The Capt' in question had only 70 crew, 1696 enlisted more in the NY recruitment to a 152
By 1698 he had a skeleton crew of 13 loyal crewmen.

Now look at the technology of the 17C and the 21C and how far we have come.
Boring machines, mining, ventilation, labour, housing.
No recorded history of this multi year of excavation ever recorded, all done in total secrecy.
How did they eat without the add of the mainland resources of merchants?

I find all this so amazing that in today's work it would probably take longer, and they just has picks and shovels.

So many questions and only a theory that makes no sense when one even gives it a minute of thought .

Hi chalkoutline, my friend in Nova Scotia has just made a really valid point, quote, "if the Money Pit (and other shafts) was/were all excavated and filled in during the hot summer months then rain would not have been a problem anyway, because we don't get any then, and the triangular pond used to dry up".

I think you will find that's game, set, and match. 😄

Shall I send you down a rope ladder.:laughing7:

I agree with yor ns friend. Thats the same thing gravelteeth's geologist friend said also. It was possible that a ship could arrive, deposit the treasure and leave before the rain starts in autumn.

Ill repeat, my issue is with the multiple shafts and tunnels spanning multiple rainy seasons and harsh winters which according to Google AI would cause shafts without wall support, even covered with a slopy roof, to collapse.
That's what you need to address!

I have been transparent wiith facts and where i got them; Google AI. Ive demonstrated my willingness to admit mistakes and shift my position.
But i cannot accept, as pepperj just pointed out that a network of shafts and tunnels were constructed on oak island in the late 1600s.

One more time, if the treasure were still there, Rick and Marty would have found it in 2016. See the attached picture.

Believe as you wish but i am also completely bored with effort so PLEASE, don't direct any more questions towards me.

Just to clarify a few points, 1 I'm only board with the subject of cribbing in the Money Pit. 2/ I have never once claimed that Captain William Kidd was ever on Cape Breton Island. 3/ or that he had any part of the work done on Oak Island. 4/ I said that the whole mining operation probably took at least three years. 5/ I have never once claimed that Captain Kidd's crew were involved in the mining project. 6/ The work force would come to Oak Island the Island to commence work when Kidd was on his royal mission. If you want to know about how food and supplies reached them then you know what to do.:read2:

Certainly if that's what you wish, I trust you will reciprocate in kind, lets amicably agree to differ then. By the way I have never once claimed that the treasure was in the Money Pit area because - it's not there.

Just so you know, i am a very successful project manager and best known for completing projects on or ahead of schedule without sacrificing quality by identifying risk and taking steps to mitigate that risk before the projects started.

The key is asking many questions and force engineers to explain their theories in detail, identify the risks and agree on a mitigation method.

I never cared about your theory or whether it would or wouldn't work. I only cared if your theory was based/built on sound engineering.
Im not a geologist or a mining expert, so i relied on Google AI for information to ask questions which I am now certain you never thought of before developing your theory.

We certainly must agree to disagree because your approach is too complex, has too much risk and has too many holes to be a viable theory.

Here is another way to look at...from the eyes of a prject manager...

Management says, "we need to bury a treasure 100ft deep on Oak Island. You need to leave England in March and have it buried by sept so you can return before the bad weather."

The team tells you, we can do it but we'll have to dig the 100ft shaft without wall support. This is where i ask questions about soil, weather, etc and listen.
I would ask...what would cave ins do to the schedule?
We all know what happens. The deadline keeps pushing out to the point where they have to stay the winter.

Here's where i would say..."what if we used cribbing and rather than fill the 100ft shaft we remove the top 20 feet, cover the opening and fill it from there?
Don't fill it. Hide it.
It takes the same amount of time and guess what? We depart oak island on time.

And the best part is...when you want to retrieve it, the cribbing is still there after once you fill in the top 20ft.

If you don't use wall support/cribbing than you have use cribbing to retrieve it because it is now already worked soil.

😁

Hi chalkoutline, just so you know, I am a Grand Rank Freemason, the author of other books as well of my current one which is now being sold internationally. A company Director with a 50% half share interest in the Company. And the successful inventor of a height adjustable golf teeing innovation which will improve golf all over the world.
There are many Golf teeing inventions but to get a patent these days you are looking at a waiting period of between two to six years, mine took just five months when the environmental authorities awarded it a very rare fast track service. The professional golfers who have seen and used it have given it the WOW factor of approval. As a former semi professional entertainer I still give free guitar lessons and free golf lessons. On the old Oak Island Treasure forum my topic "Oak Island Revelations" had over three hundred thousand viewing hits. The late Dan Blankenship signed for me an agreement (I still have it) to work with his then nemesis Fred Nolan on my treasure recovery Project, no one else has ever achieved that. The Prometheus film company offered to pay me a lot of money to help the current searchers. they have never done that before to anyone. The current searchers are currently working very deep in the Money Pit area and it will fail again and that's the truth, but then again some people just can't handle the truth.

Seriously? An appeal to authority? "I've done all these things so I must be right." That's really weak.

Hi Carl-NC, ask someone to gently explain this proverb to you, "There are none blind as those who will not see"

Kind of like all the naysayers. No hard evidence just opinions, guesses, and at best conjecture.

If we all had $10 every time you used “Google AI” in this chat we could each buy an ounce or 2 of silver.

I'm fine, got 20/20 vision. Sage, I approach all treasure legends the same way: I assume they are fabricated unless I see strong evidence otherwise. OI is one of those legends that has never managed to muster even the slightest amount of evidence. It's all built on a single observation: a depression in the ground. That's all there is to it, everything after that is just conjecture piled on top of supposition. Then you come along, proposing a tale even more outlandish than the original, an almost certainly impossible scenario, and lacking any evidence at all. I suggest it's you who should get their eyesight checked.
