Shade is nice as long as you don't have to cast. Bimini tops don't belong on bass boats.
Been looking out at this tranquil scene for 8 yrs.
I can mark the opening of the Bass season-as we can see a pontoon, maybe a 12-14 ft aluminum boat trying their skill.
Then there are the bass boats not many but still it's like the return of a migratory bird-one can here BB coming, and it rounds the corner comes a flying into the bay.
The loons dive, the ducks fly, the Heron squawks, as they power down, bob around cast 2-5 times and there they go, flying around the curve out of sight and ear range for another year.
In 8yrs I have never seen them even catch a fish, nor even have one on-yet the one's that cast off the dock over the sunken 100'x20' boat have reeled in some very nice fish.
The folks that have patience seem to walk away with the dinner.
Quote from a fellow we got to know." This is the best place we have ever fished at-we get a keeper every time we come here-WE DON"T TELL ANYONE ABOUT IT EITHER"
Yup that what the other fellows said as well.
